[Resolved] Country Club India — No response after payment | |||||
I am a member (Membership No. 48661) at Mumbai. I received call from Hyderabad head office, AMC department. They offered me a scheme for discount AMC payment for 3 years. Along with that I was promised activation of expired holidays, some food coupons and additional holiday packages. After I made the online payment, The AMC department person, Mr. Rajesh, who had called me with the offer, started to behave as if he doesn't know me and he didn't care a bit even when I told him all 10-12 calls that I have a receipt for the payment. He just took my membership number and said that in 15 mins you will get confirmation for all the above things But it seems that 15 mins are not yet over. I feel this a cheating scam where the payment is diverted to some personal accounts and now they cannot give me any promised club services because the payment has not actually gone to the club. So we went there for the collection of our price. After reaching their Mr Suraj and Chand of Country Club attended us & told us to attend the session to know about country club after which we will give you the free gift.
Mr Chand explained me about Membership Charges.
they offered 10 yrs Membership in Rs. 1, 40000 Thousand/- . I told him that this is very costly & I cannot afford this. Then he offered 72 Thousand/- for 10 years membership. They promised me that would convert this amount into 2 Years EMI, but they never informed me the transaction fee and interest facility that they had. they said that they will convert the amount in EMI’s installments and will refund the interest Amount of Rs 10 Thousand Also I was not informed that the Annual Fee is of 8000/-
Based on this I gave them my credit card for payment of Rs.72000/- from my HDFC credit card & to covert it in 24 Months EMI. After payment they ask me to sign one paper but not provided me enough time to read the same. So I signed by going through some Terms & conditions. Upon the confirmation call i got to know that there in no EMI facility is given I’ll have to pay all the relevant taxes which will occur according to the RBI bank, apart from that the verification caller informed me about the AMC which was again a shocker for me, Also I have a 2 kids one of them is over 12 Years of age, and as per their agreement copy kids will be considered below the age of 12. I did not complete the verification call which was made from their Hyderabad office, I told him to stop this service immediately. Then I was given one of the managers number, Mr Michael. to follow up on the refund, it’s been a week he’s trying to avoid my calls and giving bull excuses. I am going to wait for another one week for my refund or else i’ll have to take local police help and to file a FIR against this fraud people.
