Delhi Jal Board — Corrected water bill not received and unhelpful staff | |||||
I am a senior citizen aged 90 years, residing at e 90 greater kailash part 2. My kno no. Is [protected]. I received a water bill for period 24 nov 2015 to may 2016 for rs 78064. I lodged a complaint in writing to delhi jal board, chirag delhi on 04 jun, 2016. After numerous visits, a new bill was generated for period 15 sep, 2014 to 25 may, 2016 amounting to rs 61780 by this office. I was informed that the meter readings were never taken for 20 months after installation of new meters in jul, 2014. I was advised to apply for 25% rebate as permitted by the govt. Which i did on 23 jul, 2016. I have made another three visits to their office without any progress on the matter. I am unable to understand why law abiding citizens like me are being harassed. The zro and his staff are most unhelpful and are either missing from their chairs or unwilling to do anything. How can a bill for 6 months be more than that of 20 months, which includes those six months? The toll free telephone numbers do not respond. Should i have to beg for a proper bill so that i can pay it in time? Was this information helpful? | |||||
