I had called the Dell customer support for LCD issue and non functional USB port. After checking and running all the tests, the attendent refused to provide me a home service. Reason he and his manager state is, that my laptop service tag is blocked. Reason for block: someone else from Varanasi called Dell for service with my service tag and details and it was a fraud.
Solution given to me is that I have to go to service center which will take 5 days to replace the LCD and usb port (already went there but 5 days are too much). Point to note, even they(service center people) cannot unblock the service tag, which means this has to be unlocked from Dell customer support only. To this, dell attendent says that the managment will see afterward (after i take service from the service center and wait for 5 days without laptop) if they can unblock it or not. I do not understand this unprofessional code of conduct.
I do not beleive this story in anyway and the call cannot be made from my number to dell unless my sim card, my email, my service tag: all are hacked at once.
I believe there has been a mistake from dell in this and it is me who is suffering.
All i want is : unlock my service tag and give me home service for which I paid Dell (extended warranty till 2016). Was this information helpful? |
