[Resolved]  Dell — Very lazy and poor after sale service - My express tag is : [protected]

I bought a inspiron 3521 in July, 2013 and my warranty expired in July, 14. In september, 2014 my laptop screen is not working even after power button pressed. I contacted the Dell Toll Free number. They send me a mail regarding a quotation for engineers visit to my home. The mail contains methods of payment of fees for the same. I wonder why they ignored the online payment. They have IVRS credit/debit card payment and account transfer. Bothe will take 1 to 2 days depending upon on the mercy of banks and later Dell support staff. After I paid the fee by using IVRS after generating OTP, I came to know that the engineer will visit in 3 to 5 business days. I wondered by knowing that they work only monday to friday. The dell site deliberately ignored to give mail id for further complaints. and not engaging enginners matching with the sales and need of service they had. Its has worst after sales service on the earth. I never want to purchase the dell product again. Thank you for teaching a lesson. Dell has to feel shame because in these days even if we purchased an electronic item worth 1000 the companies are responding in hours time and they are providing service even on sundays as well as holidays. Dell has to look into the issue and engage as may engineers as to attend on same day or the immediate next days, sunday or monday. Train the executives to speak politely. and please dare to give email id s of higher authorities. Please use online payment option and forget the age old ivrs payments and account transfers. Hello, Mr. Reddy,

I used to be a Dell loyalist for a very long time ever since I was given an Inspiron 5100 by my employer, way back. It was directly brought from the US and I was really impressed by its sheer performance and ruggedness. I'd been using it for over 2 years and it never let me down.

So, when Android Smart phones hit the markets, I had no second thoughts in buying a Dell XCD35 priced at an aggressive 10, 000 bucks at that time. But I was so disappointed after the phone started giving complaints one after the other and I had to take it to their service centres many times. Every time I was dealt with utter disregard for customer satisfaction and in the end, I sued them in Consumer Court.

I did not even have to hire a lawyer and the only expense for the suit had been Rs. 200/-. The court had ruled in favour of me making Dell pay me a compensation of Rs. 5, 000/-
