[Resolved] Dewan Housing Finance Corporation [DHFL] — Forced insurance policy and improper emi collection. | |||||
Dear sir, This is to bring to your notice a sequence of events in which i was defrauded by dhfl's representatives and despite repeated attempts to reach out to the company i have not solicited any response to my grievances. I applied for home loan purchase of plot, with dhfl omr branch chennai on 29.08.16 and my application number is 01361123. Their loan allottment letter shows the loan is allotted for rs. 749819/-. But actually the loan is only for rs. 720000/- and they forcefully included the insurance of rs. 29819/- (Which includes dhfl pramerica life, a medical insurance from chola ms and accident insurance policy from chola ms) which is attached with plot loan. Since i am having a sufficient insurances already, i asked them to cancel it. But they didn't. All done by them is false promises given and time wasted. While at time of processing it was not mentioned that insurance is mandatory. As per rbi norm, it is not mandatory to have a insurance with home loan and it totally depend on customer to take insurance or not. I want to bring this to your notice that some sales executive are forcefully including insurance amount on the loan amount. Please take necessary action and requesting you to terminate all my 3 insurances forced on me and include only loan amount. Also this loan was never been disbursed either to myself or the seller. But in their bank records they claim that the loan was disbursed on 31.08.16. Now they want me to pay emi for september month. Dhfl then went ahead and presented a cheque, that had obtained from me earlier in bad faith, for an emi even though the loan had never been disbursed. I had to instruct my bank to 'stop payment' on the cheque and had to pay further fees for such instructions. My first impression when i registered a complaint in their [protected]@dhfl.com was good until they started showing their true intentions. I have only experienced unprofessional, incompetent, negligent and casual attitude towards work from the employee's. It is worst financial organization i have came across. We dont want to continue my HDFC Ergo health insurence
Service of DHDL is very bad, I asked for loan statement several time on email but there is no response and one called them I got the reply you can collect it from branch after 10 working days. Other banks provide this on same day.
