Dish TV — DISCONTINUATION OF CHANNELS FROM BASE PACK WITHOUT CONSENT OF CUSTOMER

My Dish TV (VC No.[protected]) was recharged online for the period upto 25 April 2014 for the base pack of New South HD. The package offered Colors HD channel at the time of recharge. However, without any consent from me, the services on Channel No.2, i.e. Colors HD has been discontinued wef 31 Mar 14 (midday). This practice of discontinuing or withdrawing a service after being paid in advance for the said service is highly irregular and unlike a reputed firm like Disth TV. This amounts to fraud on the part of the company, especially without the explicit consent of the customer who had paid for the services. On being queried with the customer care, they said, "Aisa hote rehta hain (it happens so)". This means that such things are common practice with this company. I have a recording of thsi conversation with the customer care executive who was anything but helpful. Please redress my complaints. Also, the fraud on the part of the service provider for having withdrawn the services for the period from 31 Mar 14 needs to be looked into at appropriate level.

Customer Care executive of Dish TV contacted me. BUT THE THINGS HE HAD TO SAY WERE UTTER FOOLISHNESS. He was reading out their company policy that "THE COMPANY IS ENTITLED TO DEAL THE PACKAGE OF THE CUSTOMER AS THEY WISH... ALL THE CUSTOMER IS EXPECTED TO DO IS PAY THEM MONEY SO THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY PLEASE!!!" He also intimated that instead of the discontinued channel OF MY CHOICE, DISH TV has provided me with some channels of THEIR CHOICE. I am at a loss to understand the role of the customer in this system if he can't choose his preferred channels, FOR WHICH HE HAD PAID IN ADVANCE!!!

Pathetic dealing of the complaint. I do not expect any good from wiring to Dish TV ([protected]@dishtv.in) even.
Also, it is the company tactics to keep the customer engaged with their pathetic customer support executives till such time the package validity expires, so that they do not have to take any meaningful action on the issue. Forget about any compensatory action post-facto, they will not do anything while my package is still active.
