[Resolved] DishTV — After removing 4 a la carte channels, switch off date goes back from 28/june/17 to 26/may/17 | |||
Hi, On Mar-2016, I have paid for 1 year in advance to Dishtv. (Biggest mistake of my life, I trusted Dishtv). Before removing a la carte channels calculation breakdown is Main Conn- Super family pack - Rs 270/month Child Conn - Rs. 225/month Pack Total - Rs 495/ Main Conn- 4 a la carte channels Bindass Play - Rs. 5/month Miniplex - Rs. 60/month MTV - Rs. 5/month CNN NEWS18 - Rs. 5/month Child Conn - 4 a la carte channels Bindass Play - Rs. 5/month Miniplex - Rs. 60/month MTV - Rs.5/month CNN NEWS18 - Rs.5/month Total a la carte ( 8 channels) - Rs. 150/month Final Total (pack + a la carte total) - Rs. 495 + Rs. 150 = Rs.645 On 14-Sep-2016, I have removed 4 a la carte channels, 2 from main conn. and 2 from child conn., when Dishtv update billing they have changed switch off date from 28-June-2017 to 26-May-2017. Now the point is that, how when I removed 4 a la carte channels, I lost recharge for 1 month and 2 days along with cost of 4 a la carte channels for remaining period of switch off date that is 28-June-2017 Here is breakdown of calculation Monthly recharge including Main and Child Conn with current a la carte channels - Rs. 625/month Main Conn- 2 a la carte channels (now removed) MTV - Rs. 5/month CNN NEWS18 - Rs. 5/month Child Conn - 2 a la carte channels (now removed) MTV - Rs.5/month CNN NEWS18 - Rs.5/month Total a la carte - Rs. 20/month Total saving after removing 4 ala carte channels - Rs 20/month till 28-June-2017 Final Total Saving will be Rs 20 x 9(remaining months )+ Rs.10 (15 days remaining in Sep, 2016) = Rs 180 + Rs. 10 = Rs. 190 Per day expenditure - Rs 20 Total no of days to add in switch off date = 190/20 = 9.5 = 10 days BUT DISHTV changed switch off date to 26/May/2017 Loss of Rs 625( 1 month recharge ) + Rs 40 (2 days recharge) + Rs 190 (saving from removing 4 a la carte channels) = Rs 855 ( I lost to dishtv after removing 4 a la carte channels) I was surprised how after removing channels I lost recharge for 1 month and 2 days including saving from 4 a la carte channels. On 17-Sep-2016, I contacted customer care and registered another complaint[protected], nothing happened again. Also, customer care person told me that they will transfer my call to senior executive but after waiting for more than 15mins they informed that all seniors are busy and they can arrange call back but till today (20-Sep-2016), no call back received. This happened 2 times. After this I send message to dishtv on twitter.com - https://twitter.com/DishTV_India I received reply on twitter.com (Thank God for reply) but after sending and receiving many messages, problem still exists. I received one call from Ms. Shihka Desai at 4:30 P.M on 20-Sep-2016, but with my more surprise she told me that billing is all correct and I have activated 2 a la carte channels(Bindass Play and Miniplex) on child conn. on 17-Sep-2016. I have sent screenshot of all sms which I received on July-2016 after activating 8 a la carte channels. Now real cheating started... What is incorrect .. completely false in Ms. Shihka Desai explanation 1- Please visit dishtv.in a la carte page here - http://www.dishtv.in/Pages/Packs/A-la-Carte-Category.aspx checkout Music section there is no Bindass Play channel to add. This channel is present till Aug-2016 after that dishtv replaced this with channel V. If channel is not present in a la carte then how I can add it to child conn. on 17-Sep-2016 ?? 2- I have not received any sms for activation of 2 channels on child conn. on 17-Sep-2016. 3- Now for a minute, if I do calculation with Ms. Desai explanation then calculation will be like Bindass Play - Rs.5/month ( which is not present now in a la carte but before Aug-2016 it is present with Rs. 5) Miniplex- Rs.60/month Total child conn. a la carte total = Rs. 65/month (till new switch off date 26-May-2016) Final total = Rs. 65*8(months) = Rs. 520 But what Dishtv deducted is Rs. 625 + 40 (2 days recharge) = Rs.665 and this is not equal to Rs.520 (acc. to Ms. Shikha Desai explanation) I suffered a loss of 1 month and 2 days recharge with saving from removing of 4 a la carte channels( till 28-June-2017) = Rs. 855, please view image for more details - http://phpgenius.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/dishtvcal2.jpg So, I want to register complaint against Dishtv. Sep 24, 2016 Complaint marked as Resolved After 10 days and contacting them on twitter and many tweets, finally it is resolved now.
I am satisfied but not happy.
