[Resolved]  DishTV — Persistent technical issues, no customer service provided

Hi, I have been a customer with DishTV for over 5 years since 2008 and hold 2 VC numbers with them namely[protected] and[protected]. Since the last 6 months, both VC have been facing severe technical issues and the problem is that one cannot even report them since the customer service number is constantly BUSY. However, being patient i have tried calling them multiple times over multiple days. I finally managed to speak to them and they sent across a technician to check into my connections. The error that i am getting is 301-No Signal found and this cannot be rectified by the call center, a technician has to come and check. They charge 225 to just come and visit and check or rectify the issue. The technician who came in was extremely rude and had no idea what he was doing. He first stated that as per his observations, the LNB receiver is faulty and would have to be replaced costing Rs.650. Knowing the ignorant approach by DishTV i decided not to argue and asked him to change the receiver. After changing the receiver, he could still see no network. So he decided to refix the wire connections. He changed the connections and still no network was found. Finally, the technician says that the entire Dish assembly would have to be changed since it is rusted and cannot be aligned. Is this a joke? And why should the consumer keep paying for things when inspite of multiple options being tried, the problem cannot be resolved. The total cost of service, receiver and Dish assembly as stated by the technician is Rs. 2000. Why should i pay it? DishTV should be responsible for providing proper resolution pertaining to their equipment. The next issue that i have is that i have been with DishTV for over 5 years. What is DISHTV doing from their end to reward my loyalty with them? Why cant they do something for customer delight by installing new equipment for free for a customer who has been with them for so long? My entire building has other brands fitted and i am the 'ONLY DISHTV CUSTOMER' in my society. I would really love to change over however am binded by a 3+2 year offer that i have subscribed to and paid in bulk. I paid a total of 30000 rupees and should be getting services until 2018. I treat this as blackmail. DishTV understands that the customer is stuck and would have to replace the equipment to continue using the service else can suffer if he does not. Instead of providing customer delight, customer plight is the focus. Please help. My service has not been utilized over the last 1 month. DIshTV should either refund my balance payment that they are holding or resolve the issue for free themselves for such a loyal customer.

Service center visited and installed replacement equipment however did not waive any charges which has been a very bad experience.
