[Resolved]  DTDC — Incomplete parcel (torn and taped) delivery

Sir/Madam

This is to draw attention to the unsatisfactory courier service by your company. My father had handed over a parcel having consignment no. Z23251486 on 18th June 2014 (Wednesday) at Faridabad office. It was assured that the parcel will reach Hyderabad within 3 business days.

I received an message on 27th June 2014 from your employee that I can collect the parcel from main gate of my college, IBS Hyderabad, at 10 am. He also mentioned that it was a 'no service area' hence diplomatic charges are applicable. You should mention about the no service area while taking the parcel.

On 28th June 2014, I called all the courier service centers in my area enquiring about the parcel. The attitude of the service providers was not only unresponsive but they tried to neglect all my calls as much as possible. They came around 11:40 am. They asked for diplomatic charges and I paid him Rs. 50.

The parcel that I received was torn and taped, as I opened it. I noticed that one of the contents was missing i.e. my pen drive which had extremely important data. I immediately contacted the parcel-man but he didn't respond.

This kind of instance has lead to lack of trust with your organisation and never to use your services again. What can you do in such incidence?How do you follow up the stolen stuff? Can you track where exactly the parcel was opened and stuff stolen?

I am sorry to inform you that such negligent and unprofessional behavior was not expected from an established company like yours.

I would appreciate your co-operation to solve the issue, otherwise, I have to lodge a complaint against DTDC employees for mishandling and stealing the material from my courier. No co-operation from your end will only add to the agony and I have to move to Consumer court in such a case.
