[Resolved] Electrolux — Electrolux servicing dept dishonoring duly stamped warranty card | |||
I had purchased one Electrolux Microwave oven from Metro cash & carry stores, Borivali in Oct 2013 under 3 years warranty for gift presentation. Dealer M/s Metro C&C had duly stamped the warranty card with bill no.& dt of purchase mentioned on it. Now the instrument has created some functional problem and we approached the customer care. They have taken the complaint on 18.7.14 at 12:12pm and gave complaint no.EMUM[protected] for attending within 48 working hrs(12 working hrs/day) The technician was reluctant to attend the problem for want of purchase invoice copy even though valid warranty card with dealer's stamp/inv.no/ dt of purchase was mentioned in it. When we told him as it was the gift given to another person, we can not give bill along with gift then he told it is the blind rule set by the company and they have to abide with. Now my request to the Electrolux authorities is that they should apply logic to their rules and also mention in warranty card that the card is valid only with purchase invoice copy. At least customers buying to gift Electrolux items will think twice before buying to gift such items as it reveals the actual purchase price to the acceptor of gifts.
