Electrolux — Poor service and incorrect warranty information on Fridge | |||
I had bought a Electrolux EDL 254 fridge from Chroma on 11th December 2011. On Sunday, the fridge stopped cooling and I raised a complaint with Electrolux Customer Care on Monday (18th Aug). Their engineer, came on Wednesday, 20th (after 8 calls) and informed that the compressor is faulty and will be replaced under warranty. On Thursday, another person comes to check whether it is a compressor issue or something else. He reconfirmed compressor needs to be replaced and took photocopy of my bills. On Friday, I get a call from a rude lady from their customer care, Sunita asking me to confirm payment for the compressor, only then they will raise an order. Since it clearly says on the fridge, 5 years warranty I refused. They immediately sent a SMS stating the request has been closed with reason - Estimate not approved..!! I am adding a photo here to show the 5 year warranty promise. I have got frustrated with this treatment. I even reached out to Chroma as I bought Extended warranty of 2 years for the fridge for them. However, they are yet to even register a complaint and I am still chasing them. Would like to raise this as a formal complaint against Electrolux service both against wrong information on the warranty and the bad service communication. Was this information helpful? | |||
