[Resolved] Hindware — non-delivery of product manual | |||
We had purchased the Gold model built-in oven of Hindware's from a local dealer in Coimbatore. Though we had purchased the oven in October 2012, we were able to install the built-in oven only in January 2013. We realized that we might have misplaced the manual and since we did not know to operate the oven without a manual, we requested Hindware to deliver a copy of the manual sometime around 20th January 2013. We did not receive a manual and again we requested on 30th January calling their toll-free-number. Unable to use the oven, we again called them on 6th Feb 2013 and asked for atleast a photocopy of the manual. A person called from Chennai on 6th, but asked us to get the manual from the dealer. The dealer had already informed us that they are unable to arrange for the manual. Hindware has left us with no option, but to file a consumer complaint. We are very disappointed with their service. Prior to all this manual episode, we actually had another issue with Hindware which we did not pursue. We initially had paid for both built-in oven and built-in microwave oven. When they were delivered, the micorwave oven was damaged. We took it back to the dealer who assured to replace the damaged microwave oven. We waited for almost a month and since they did not have stock, we asked the dealer to return us the money for the microwave oven. The problem with Hindware is that they have a sole distributor in Coimbatore who also owns Hindware retail store. He controls the supply in Coimbatore. I hope Hindware takes this complaint seriously and act on it. Was this information helpful? | |||
