ESIC — Payment not received.

Address:Dibrugarh, Assam

Dear Sir, I have submitted a bill of Rs. 13, 478/- on behalf of my mother's operation on 10th March 2015 at your ESIC Scheme Dispensary, Dibrugarh, Assam but till date have not received the payment. The I/C of the center gave me a receipt after receiving the claim documents told me that he shall sent it to Head Office the very next day but after one month when asked about the status he told that he has no clue and that the payment realization could take one year or more. Being shocked after hearing that I waited for another two months in the hope of receiving the money but unfortunately I have not received yet. Hence, kindly look into the matter and provide me the reason for such delay whereas my amount too is not so high and if possible kindly try to arrange the same as early as possible. The photo copy of the receipt has been attached below.

Anil Hari Sawant, ESIC Insurance No. [protected], date of registration 1 April 2011, working as Handyman Cum utility worker complained of chest pain on 3 May 2013. On investigation it was revealed that he was having blockage in his heart and the doctors advised him to do angioplasty. He was admittted to Nanavati Hospital from 3 May to 9 May 2013. Between 4 July 2013 to 14 August 2015 all demands of documents submission were completed. Employee was told that settlement will take time as his claim amount is high. Employee has spent Rs. 222583 on the operation and made a claim under ESIC since he is covered under the same. All the necessary documents were submitted on time to ESIC. However, he got varied responses from ESIC authorities like the claim amount is big and hence papers sent to corporate office, file submission is not complete, file is under processing etc. On 10 Mar 2015 a letter was received stating that his file has been closed and on personal visit to office he was told that the old staff has left and new staff has no idea of the pending claim.
