First Flight Couriers — Missing parcel with my original passport via docket # p[protected] | |||||
First flight courier representative picked my Parcel with Original passport on 27th August 2016 via Docket # P[protected] from our vendor DHL's office. My Parcel has clear decleration of "Passport Inside" on the face of Envelope. My Travel agent (Thomas Cook) had booked my return ticket for Egypt for issuance of Visa. When after 1 week my Travel agency did not recieve my parcel, i called up First flight to check its status. They acknowledged that my parcel along with another 150+ parcels has got misplaced & they are actively searching for this. I has to cancel my Air tickets due to which i incurred 11742 Rs of cancellation -non refundable charges. First flight team kept reassuring me that they will reimburse these charges & will be able to trace my parcel with original passport. On 9th Oct, they issued a regret letter along with Police complaint copy & asked me to apply for fresh passport & claim reimbursement along with receipt of new passport charges & Air ticket costs. I submitted all these to First flight in Jan'16 upon which they asked me to get a additional letter from DHL confirming that claim should be directly reimbursed to me. I shared letter from DHL to First flight via email on 3rd Feb '2016. I was shocked to see there reply where they refused to reimburse my claim stating that i did not declare my parcel had original passport. I immediatly replied to them that my parcel had clear decleration on face of envelope that it contains original passport. There has not been any reply or response from First flight.
