[Resolved]  Godrej Interio — worst after sales..... totally irresponsible behaviour

sir, I purchased 3 seater Janerio sofa 2 sets on 14 may 2014. Soon after purchase it started making noise from spring while seating & other sofa seems sagging esp. the middle seat (back & seat both) for which I registered a complaint on 14 july CR no. 462707. Repeated reminders were given on 19 july, 21 july then again on 24 july for visit. After loads of follow up & interference made with Mr. prateek( After Sales Services Head Delhi as told by cust care) I managed a technician visit. Upon inspection he & found serious problem in both sofa sets & advised for replacement. He also took photos of both sets for HO approval. The replacement would take 1 month time he said. The real ordeal started here on as no updates were available to customer care so they gave me contact of Mr. Sandeep ([protected]) on 5 aug 14, he asked me to contact further some Mr. Luvkush ([protected]). Upon calling both of them they asked me to wait for a day to get the updates. Since as expected, no feedback from their end, I called Mr. luvkush again & he assured me to get the replacement by month end. I gave him a call again on 25.aug, he again asked for a day for updates. Since then they both (Mr. Sandeep & Mr. Luvkush) have stop responding. Frustrated I again had to call Mr.Prateek & he promised to get my problem solved in a week. He responded after 2 days & asked to get them repaired for which I totally denied. He sent some other technician for a revisit after 3-4 days for the reasons best known to him. The technician started explaining the details of the problem & again asked for repair (open up & see). I agreed to get the spring problem repaired which they did. But the other sofa’s sagging problem still to be resolved. Mr. Prateek asked for sofa pictures & a week more for their view. Now I have been told that there is no problem in the sofa on 6 sept 2014. They say It is all normal but to me the things have worsened in a month… when someone sits on the sofa middle seat sinks more than side two seats. Just imagine the same problem was big enough that needed a replacement 1 month back & now there is no problem with the sofa set. What happened in month?? Did that resolved spontaneously?? After much pissing off… I wanted to ask able persons from GODREJ INTERIO, if any ----- 1. The problem started soon after purchasing & reported to the company in due time & at first visit your technician found it defective so what happened within a month that the problem resolved on its own on your part? 2. Is it a customer duty to reach different persons & ask for updates? While purchasing customer pays at one end & the whole system moves on its own then why not after sales? Dear whomsoever concerned,

Really painful to learn that a big chain like Godrej does’nt have anything to offer but consolation.
For you people, 5 months old complaint need not to be taken up even with repeated reminders.
Even no communication other than mail response if not auto-generated.

It seems a time buying trick till warranty period. After that company can easily wash off her hands.

However I have no hope for any action in this regard but still as a formality for further reference take
this mail as a REMINDER.
