[Resolved] Godrej Modular Kitchen — Work pending for 10 months & poor quality work by Godrej dealer Rajni & Co., Kolkata | |||
We had booked Godrej modular kitchen in June 2013 from Rajni & Co., 74A Despran Sasmal Road, Kolkata-33, worth Rs. 1.5 lakh approx. As per invoice they were supposed to complete the work within 2 months at most. But they started the work in Oct 2013. This is April 2014, the work is still pending. They have already taken the full amount in advance. Even after repeated requests, reminders, mails, the dealer is least bothered to complete the work. All the parts were not delivered at a time. Some are still pending. Fitters were not sent in time even after we were informed. We have called the proprietor, Mr. Chandan Chatterjee many a times just to get a false assurance, and now he does not even receive the calls. The quality of work is poor and most of their fitters are very incompetent. The lady at the front desk is not at all customer friendly. We are surprised how a company like Godrej can have a dealer like Rajni & Co.! Was this information helpful? | |||

Thanks for the feed. These feeds are very important in guiding people to decide in purchasing products from brands who does not have a quality control.

DON'T buy from Rajani and company. I had a similar issue with them. They took a very very long time to complete my work and escalated the cost. They asked me to buy a Granite and when i bought it they said that the size is wrong even when i bought it as per their specification. The finish is horrible with a good 6 inch gap between the hub and the oven, a 3 inch gap at the bottom of one of the cabinet from the floor and one of the modular doors not locking properly. The finishing work of the sink with granite is uneven. I used a guy (who changed me much more) but recommended by Rajani. They assured me that they have been using him for a long time. I wanted to gift my mom a wonderful kitchen but it was a farce after spending 3 lakh on it in total because of Rajani and company's shoddy work and lies. Unfortunately i could not give them a rating less than 1 which they deserve.
Godrej modular kitchen is much costlier than other products available in the market, but it is not any better than many of their competitors (which my friends have used) . The service by Rajani and company is pathetic to say the least. I ordered a table it took 9 weeks to get it after a full payment and that too not the one i have ordered . Unfortunately i was not in Kolkata and my parents did not realise that i have ordered for a much better design. These guys take a mick of people. Actually i wouldn't buy any Godrej kitchen product after this experience.
