Goibibo.com — Overcharged due to bug in system | |||
On the Goibobo app the hotels are listed with cetrain discounts eg The Corporate, Kolkata was 4000 minus 160 which was 3840. However due to a bug in their system the next page lists the price as 4000 without the discount. I alerted them to this bug and they fixed it there after, BUT I already had made two bookings with the app so I had lost an amount of INR 500. They admitted to being at fault and that I had been overcharged. They are refusing to pay me back this amount. I have sent and received a total of 18 emails. Their replies are mostly copy pasted from a script- a few of them with blank spaces where the customer care rep is supposed to fill out details, one was even addressed to the wrong person and many were sent without reading the complaint or looking at the screen shot. Anyone who has booked on the Goibibo app prior to Aug 05, 2015 will have lost an amount of at least INR 150 on their bookings. Whether the mistake was genuine or it is some scam I do not know how ever they should pay back each of their customers. Was this information helpful? | |||
