[Resolved]  TASMAC Bar Shop — VIOLATION OF GOVT RULES

We are Abiramipuram Residents, pudur, Ambathur, Chennai, requesting you kindly to take action against the TASMAC shop and Bar which does not follow the Government Rules.

The shop is in a purely residential area, where there are 2 storey apartments, and individual houses. The Bar activities can be seen from the houses, and the people in the bar havce an access to see the activities of the residents WITH YOUR MERCY, THE OPENING OF THE BAR WAS STOPPED LAST YEAR. We were very thankful and happy.

The PUBLIC PARK under construction is just opposite to the shop. The footpath of the park platforms are now being constructed and to be inagurated soon. We are afraid that, the park will only be used by the drunken people, the public will have no access without fear.

Tha BAR is just having the shed, and no covering on the sides. We are suffering psychologically, thinking about the the dangers that would happen to our houses, and nearby areas. Mainly we can see them drinking in the bar, because of an open area of the BAR. After work in the evenings and at night we use this road only to reach our houses as no other alternative routes are available.

This is pudur - menambedu main road, which connects pudur to ambathur railway station, where the school buses and lot of vehicles go daily. We have the school bus stop near to the park which is very close to the TASMAC shop. We used to wait with our children for school buses during pick-up and drop time, and it compromises our safety and security.

Under G.O. Ms. No. 292, The rules of Retail Vendor of Liquor, RULE NO. 8 and 10 instructions are not followed by the TASMAC. I am sending this mail to THE COLLECTOR, TIRUVALLUR DISTRICT, and TASMAC organization for considering to change the location to live a peaceful life in our area. We have already sent a written petition in March 2012 and action was very appropriate to stop opening the shop and Bar.

Please consider the above and take necessary action to change the location again.
