Greedge — Online coaching and counseling for study abroad | |||
My sincere request to all the gre aspirants and people who are planning to pursue masters degree abroad is to never buy the services of greedge institute. i have learnt this from my personal experience One of their representatives called me last october explaning about greedge and the service that they provide. he claimed that they havev "subject experts" (lying his a$ off) and that they guide and mentor students in every detail for the application. he said the fee was 25k only for "prestigious" ivy-league program and assigned me to a third party consulting service called one good student (ogs). now the first time i spoke to the ogs councellor regarding my application, i had to literally control my laughter because the guy couldn't speak one correct sentence in english. i mean to think that this guy would be my councelor gave me nightmare that night and ever since then their service has been below standard and unprofessional. after first week of communication, the councelor never got back to me regarding my application and i had sent repeatedly 2-3 mails everyday to get a reply from them. after 2 months, on 1 december when i had to finally call manager of greedge to report this matter. later i was told that my old councelor was on a "vacation" and that they were sorry for delaying the application of 5 of my dream universities. although they improved on their service after that, it was mostly restricted to filling online applications. that's it. which basically any clerk can do and you dont pay 25k simply for this to be done. and yeah one more thing, these people don't know about universities in us or elsewhere. they have a standard list of colleges which they to everyone which you proly wouldnt have even heard. and then i asked them to ediy my statement of purpose (a huge mistake!) and upon seeing their draft i was just dumbstruck. I honestly feel they are good for nothing people and my sincere request to everone to never enrol in their program. save the 25k for yourself. Was this information helpful? | |||

i've recently joined gre edge counseling and want a refund now..
Never buy the greedge dream university program. The gre training program is good. But this dream university program is sham. These guys just search for information on internet and forward it to you. They dont really provide any good services for the money value of rs.16000/-. Please dont buy it...

I recently joined gre edge and a day after that i found it not worthy of the money they get. So i asked for the refund. They refused to give the refund but just let me to attend the workshop for the amount that i paid. : (
I have joined your program named "dream university" after paying rs. 18000.
Before i joined the program, i was told that my profile evaluation and university short listing will be done by 10 years experienced people. But when i joined the program i was assigned with shubra as my counsellor who does'nt seem to have even 1 year experience. Whenever i ask a doubt he answers very diplomatically. He does not seem to be confident of the universities he has shortlisted for me. He is now pushing me for universities like csu eastbay (He states a reason that building is very beautiful, what should i do with this?), he is telling me to send my documents to chennai and from there he will send it to universities through a 3rd party consultancies who have link with the universities which will increase chances of my admit.
While joining i was told that my sop will be reviewed by someone who has done ms from purdue university, but same guy shubhra told me to prepare sop and send it. He has done sop editing which removal of a para and added some grammatical mistakes. Nothing more than this. But for 18000 is this what i get? I do not have proper list o[censored]niversities till now. No proper answer for my doubts. There are many consultancies in hyderabad. They charge only 6000 to 8000 and working since 10 -15 years.

Please don't go for greedge. They promise you all kind of but the only thing they are good at is robbing you of your money.
1. They say they have an esteemed faculty from iims who will be preparing our sop. What they actually do is just join the answers that you provided to a questionnaire given by them.
2. They'll assign you a counselor who's only job is to ignore the mails, calls and messages of the student. And when a complain is raise for the same, they'll come up with some reason.
3. They'll provide you a list of below average colleges and when you suggest a college, they'll straightaway say that the college is an ambitious choice and getting into it will be difficult. And if you persist on applying for those colleges... Repeat point 2.
4. I tried discontinuing after these three points but they said that the above services costed me 25k. So, no refund.

They have not given a single service, and very conveniently on the last date of my dream uni application the SFA went on a "personal leave". I had to do everything from scratch. I had the exact same experience and need a refund. Should we lodge a consumer court complaint against these thugs? Someone please help.
Kindly don't join greedge.com for counselling. I had faced lot of problems after joining the counselling program with with them..
1. They will call u nd tempt u to join in the program. Don't ever fall into this trap
2. Secondly, they will tell u that we ll guide u until u land there. That's not true
3. Only for framing ur sop they will help. That too not to our expectations. Just for the sake of duty they ll do.
4. They ll tell skype interviews will be held for visa interview. That's a absolute eyewash.
5. They will assign u a personal counsellor. He won't even respond to ur mails, msgs, even phone calls sometimes
6. Worst part is that they didn't even help me for application process
Have all this in mind before joining greedge.com. I would strongly recommend not to join this program ..
