I feel cheated by hathway broadband. My story goes like this.

My hathway plan(Account number 1159025) had validity till 01st april 2016 (--screenshot1 attached--). I started getting messages from hathway since 24th mar 2016 asking me to renew the account to enjoy uninterrupted service. On 29th mar, i got a msg from hathway saying that i will get extra 20gb if i renew my account (For 3 or more months) by making the payment on the same day(--screenshot2 attached--). I called up customer service to confirm the same and asked when the 20 gb will get credited. They replied that it will get credited during the first month. They explicitly told me that i will get 45 gb the first month and 25 gb during the consequent 2 months. So i recharged my account with rs 2793(3 month plan) on 29th march(--screenshot3 attached--).

On 12th april, i got the msg from hathway telling i have crossed the fair usage limit and hence the speed has been downgraded. I called up customer care and checked with them regarding the extra 20 gb i'm entitled for. They said they will take up the request to activate it. The request numbers are 16465865, 16465178,[protected]screenshot4 attached--). The requests were cancelled two days later without resolving it.

I called up customer care again on 16th april (Customer care agent -waseem). He assured me that the 20gb would be credited before 8 pm the same day. Around 6 pm, i got a call from hathway telling its not extra 20 gb i'm entitled for, but extra 20 days of validity. I made it clear to them that i did the recharge on 29 march for 20 gb and not 20 days validity. They told they will get back to me on that. I got no response for the next three hours and i called up the customer care again, only to a new surprise from mr, shabaz that since i made the payment on 29th march, my plan cycle started from 29th mar and not from april 2nd (The day my previous plan expired). This is totally ridiculous, the validity should get extended and not overlapped.

Of all, i still have not received the 20 gb yet and half the month is already over. It is really tiring and frustrating to take so much pain to get what you are paying for.

Please do the needful as soon as possible or i will be forced to take legal action against hathway for cheating and inconvenience.
