[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Debit card promotions 5% cashback

The advt states a 5% cashback upto a max. cash back limit of Rs.2000/- for purchasing online using the HDFC debit card.Accordingly, I made a high value purchase worth Rs.36000/- in Sept. 2014.When there was no credit of the cashback amount for nearly 5months, I contacted them now, in Feb.2015, they say its only 500 points / Rs500 that I'll get. Incidentally, I made another purchase worth 28000/-, using ICICI Bank debit card, which had a similar 5% cashback promotion and within a month I had received the exact cash back amount. So HDFC is only cheating its customers by providing inadequate information in its advt. For all those who are reading this, please read every condition mentioned by HDFC before using any of their products. Banks asks customers to TRUST them, but with this kind of cheating, I have lost all trust in HDFC and pulling out all my investments with them.
