[protected][protected]--- Hi All, HDFC Bank and its officials are cheating on to me and this would be proved by the evidences and circumstances which I would be sharing... I had a salaried account opened with HDFC on 2004 which lasted till 2009 when I resigned. After resignation, I requested the HDFC bank to cancel the 'Demat services' and gave them the written Application. I'm hoping that my Demat Service is also cancelled as promised by Bank officials.. I had the PF also tied to it, my ex-company - 'IBM' recommended to continue using this account till the time I get the amount reimbursed. I got the funds transferred to my account. I got it converted to the normal account but they rather created another account and mapped to it (this is again was never acceptable but as per BANK this was the only legal way).. I then asked the Bank to 'Close' this salaried account in 2010 thing that everything would get closed...They said that keeping it dormant would automatically cancel the Account. The HDFC bank played me like table-tennis and the time got elapsed after every quarter when I went to them..I was assured that I would not be charged anything... I have not used any of HDFC Banks online/offline over the counter service since 2010 and still bank made fake promises and my account is still active and see what they do to their accounts -- They Charge maintenance charges for the accounts which I had asked to get them cancelled...I always request them to cancel this account which they never do so and as the time progresses, they keep on adding the maintenance fee to the "Principal Amount"..I'm stuck...I want the HDFC bank to comeup with the solution and I should not be forced to pay the services which I never used.. HDFC Salaried Acc# [protected] Customer ID# 6318691 I know they are violating the basic 'Consumer-Rights' and perhaps following unethical 'Banking-Practice' which is more of bank friendly. The issue was finally closed by HDFC Gurgaon guys and they admitted the issue was at their end. So far, I have found the HDFC Credit Card service a good-one and enjoying it. But for the Savings/Salaried Bank-accounts, I had a terrible experience.

HDFC Bank customer assistance.
I'm following up with the bank, though the Bhopal's M.P. Branch Officials are still not profesional enough. I still feel that my problems would be resolved via this platform. I'm surprised that why the other linked account was closed but this one which I had already requested to get closed has not been made do...Keeping my fingers crosed. The M.P. Nagar personal banker has got my Closure request form filled up and she would be sending it to Gurgaon Office.
I Got an email from HDFC that the account's status has been changed from 'Dormant -> Active and -> Finally Closed. I'm still puzzled by the affiliated secondary account# was promptly closed by the system few years back, but kept this account# in Dormant status. Anyway, my issue seems to be resolved now.


I appreciate this platform to be given to us to get appropriate response and actions taken on the issues reported. Guys from HDFC Gurgaon were courteous and understood the issue but the execs in Bhopal branch were confused and distracting the account-holders like me. Probably, they need to get trained more in a professional manner.
