[Resolved] HDFC Bank — no due certificate and did not keep the promises by hdfc bank | |||
Hi, my name is Nitin Chanana .I was using a credit card of HDFC bank . I dont know exactly, however roughly i can say i used that card for approx 2 - 3 years without any issue . I was payingall my bills on time etc . After that due to some circumstances i used my card for approx rs 75000 and was not able to deposit the credit card bills . Months passed but i was not in a situation that i could pay my credit card bills yet however when ever the customer service from hdfc called me about the payments, i inform them that am not in a very good financial situation . I ALWAYS ASSURED THEM THAT ONCE I AM IN A SITUATION TO PAY MY BILLS I WILL CALL HDFC BANK MYSELF AND WILL THE THE BILLS + I WILL PAY INTEREST + I WILL PAY THE PENALITIES AS WELL . The same i did . nearly in 2014 my financial situation become good and i went to lot of branched of hdfc bank myself that i want to pay the bills, interest and penalities and i called hdfc customer service as well and informed them the same . HDFC bank and HDFC customer service both denied to take the payments as according to them my case was transferred to their collection department . So i waited for the call from collection department and when they called me i invited them to my office in sector 2 noida . The person named Vinay ( who introduced himself as HDFC collection department representative and his supervisor came to my office . I told them that i want to clear my bills . The total payment they said is Rs 1, 22, 401 ( Principal amount + interest + penalities ) .Also they told me that if i just want to settle the matter then i can settle it in lesser amount by paying just around Rs 80, 000 . I said no I do not want to do any settlement but I want to pay the complete amount as I am very thankful to the HDFC bank that they waited so long for me to pay my bills .However I requested them to break this whole payment of Rs 1, 22, 401 into 3 installments .The HDFC collection department representatives took permission from their upper management and issue me a letter ( Reference number . for letter Del/NI/16681 ) . According to that letter, i was allowed to pay the amount in 3 installments and in return to that HDFC will issue me a NO DUE CERTIFICATE and the status of my card account will be updated in the CIBIL database . Also after the entire payment on the card account they will issue me FD based credit card as per my request . Then I paid the total amount in 3 installments as promised :: 1. First installment of 40, 050 on 29 march 2014 . 2. second installment of 40, 050 on 29 april 2014 . 3. third installment of 42, 600 on 31 may 2014 . The HDFC payment receipts and the letter issues are attached with this as attachments . So in total I paid Rs 1, 22, 700 . Its been a year now and i have not got any reply or any NO DUE CERTIFICATE from HDFC bank . Not even they have updated my CIBIL . I think this is a very bad customer service from HDFC bank toward their reliable customers .So i want that HDFC bank should take care of this issue and issue me a NO DUE CERTIFICATE and also update my CIBIL rating . This is Kedar here, I had taken Credite Card in year 2011, I don't remember the exact details, The sales representative assured free credit card along with my salary account, but the HDFC bank started charging interest on card. I had made some purchases and they were duely repaid also ( in the month of Dec, 2015) But the interest kept building over and above it, and nobody from Bank even bothered to send a single mail or call updating me. I then made a settlement with them and paid the agreed amount & asked them to close the credit card (No. [protected]) However, I did not get any No Dues from them.
I am not getting stuck while obtaining Home Loan, due to the CIBIL record, which HDFC has not cleared. I would also need No Due certificate from HDFC. Please let me know the process now.

All payments are cleared from my end from last year, but till date I am making follow-up from last 3 months to get NO Due Certificate, but I am unable to get this.

I had been using the HDFC credit card bill for more than a year and all of a sudden I was jobless for about 9 months and I still managed to make the payment on time even when I was jobless except for the last 2 to 3 months where I couldn't make the payment of Rs60000.When I could not make the payment, HDFC Bank started calling me everyday and ask me for payment and I had informed them that I was Jobless and that I will make the payment at the earliest. I got a job and my salary account was with HDFC Bank and the HDFC Collections department had put my salary on hold and had taken the entire amount Rs60000 and they told me that I did not owe anything to HDFC Bank anymore and they also informed that the HDFC credit card is permanently blocked. In August, 2016 HDFC Bank has generated another Bill of Rs58 and they had emailed the statement. I was not aware of any such bill to be paid. I called HDFC credit card department and I was informed that I need to pay Rs58 and the representative scheduled a call back from the Collections department. I got a call today from the Collections department and they had informed me that I need to pay Rs58 and they will provide me the No due certificate and also that I need to wait for additional 45 days for the Civil report to say blank. I also don't understand the term blank used by the HDFC Bank Collections department. I will post further proceedings with the HDFC Bank Collections department.
