HDFC Bank — Poor Service by HDFC Bank

Dear Sir, Myself Shrey Nandi, holding an account in South City - II Gurgaon branch. I would like to bring to your notice poor and unsatisfactory service on the part of HDFC Bank. I am having an ECS service activated from my account (5th of every month) which I wanted to discontinue. I was told by phone banker that I need to go to my home branch to stop the service. I visited the home branch on around 12 Jan 2015 where I was told to submit an application duly signed by me stating that I want to stop the ECS service. I did the same and was ensured that within 7 working day my ECS will stop. To my astonishment, after around a month the same ECS amount got deducted on 5th Feb. I called the phone banker on 5th Feb who advised me to wait for 24 hrs for a call back from home branch. Next morning I myself went to the branch to know about the issue. I was amazed to find out that the branch had sent the application to Noida office on 12 Jan'15 (received on 13 Jan'15 by Noida unit) after which the issue remained pending for about a month. Neither I was informed about the delay nor the staff there had any clue regarding the issue (they didnt even bother to follow up after 13th Jan). Again I was told to wait for 24 hrs by the executive. I contacted the B.M. (Mr. Ankit Mittal) who stated that he will follow up and notify me about the issue. Whole day passed and I didn't receive any call from the Bank. I called the BM (Mr. Ankit Mittal) same evening and he stated by our end everything has been initiated and there is some new system problem so your ECS will be cancelled from Mumbai. He also asked me to wait till Monday. I waited till Monday ie 9th Feb 2015, but didnt receive any followup call from the bank or Complaint center. I went to the Bank on Tuesday again- 10th Feb 15 and met the BM who said that there is some clash in the process and we need to decide "who's fault is it." He again mentioned that he will solve the issue and revert back to me in 2 days. After which there was no response or explaination given by HDFC or heir Complant Cell. Today is 28th Feb 15, and till date I haven't received any call neither from the BM nor from the Complaint Cell. Complaint No: MUMT[protected] Regards, Dr. Shrey Nandi [protected]
