HDFC Bank — Repeated and abusive calls from hdfc bank credit card department for delay in credit card payment by 9 days

I have owned the HDFC credit card since 2010. My credit card bill of some 20k was due on the 10th of nov. I was unable to make the payment due to the festive season and also being out of town for work. Now this week I have received not less than 10 calls everyday. The calls come at any time. I am unable to attend my meetings. If I cut the call, they call repeatedly till I pick up. If I block the no I start getting calls from other no.

I have told them nicely and then later in anger that I will be making the payment soon but this doesnt seem to be enough. They use abusive and derogatory language. And humiliate you to the extent that no human should be humiliated.

I wish to now have no association with HDFC. Despite the fact that I have repeated investment in the bank, such behaviour is just unforgivable.

Make sure you deal with a better bank when you take a credit card etc. because even 5 years of no delay in cc payment wont help.

Totally agree with you same is happening with me and no one from HDFC even cares.
Making situation worse Person responsible literally threatens that he will make you pay.

HDFC Bank is the worst.
Public Relation officer are worthless in term of taking action against it.
Shame on such a Bank.

The situation has gone completely out of hand now. I cant believe such behaviour from HDFC. Look at the image. Its only 22k and payment due on 7/11/15. A person is allowed to forget or be caught up in weddings or deaths ... and hence miss the payment date. telling the callers that you are at a funeral ... and hence will take a while to pay also doesnt seem to work. Inhuman. Absolutely inhuman. And the kind of language that is used. Cant even repeat it.

I am ashamed of being your customer now HDFC. My entire family is going to withdraw all our investments and accounts and credit cards from you. this is unacceptable.

Have written to hdfc anay and there has been no repose on priority basis ... as claimed by you ...
