HDFC Bank Ergo — Insurance Policy Not issued after making payment

Dear Sir, My Car policy was up for renewal on 30September 2014. I purchased a Policy from HDFC Ergo on 27th September and made the payment which was successfully acknowledged by insurer. They promised me to provide policy cover letter and policy documents by end of the day. Since my policy was going to expire after 3 days I started asking about the policy document. Given that I have a holidays from 1st Oct to 5th Oct, I have planned a family vacation and made reservations. Even after following vociferously and putting mysel[censored]nder much mental agony, HDFC Ergo people refused to help me and I was told, anything on this matter can only be done on 6th Oct. By when my holidays will be over and my vehicle will be without insurance. So I have to cancel my family vacations, cancel reservation and incur financial, emotional and mental loss. This is a clear and gross negligence on HDFC Ergo part to deny me a policy for 10 days and sabotaging my vacation, holidays and putting me and my family under mental trauma and financial loss. There is zero accountability and sympathy shown by the insurer during the entire process. I have all documentary evidence about timelines and communication and I want to sue insurer to compensate me for this loss for atleast 1, 00, 000 Rupees.
