Hey,
I bought "hp pavlion 14 al010tx" laptop in the end of july & after a month the laptop's keyboard started dysfunctioning and in first week of september half of the keyboard completely stopped working. A service center engineer visited & checked it & says its a software issue, he told me to update the software & said that if the keyboard doesn't work after this update then again file a new complaint. [The engineer took my signature on the paper in which he wrote that this customer's keyboard issue is solved, although the issue wasn't solved].
Next day when i updated my software my half of the keyboard was still not working, again i filed the complaint on customer care & after a week, i found out that one key is popped out of my keyboard (the letter S), i tried to pop-in the key but the key was not getting inserted. The engineer visited me in approx 12 days (took so many days) & he says that its a manufacturing defect in the keyboard but because my "S" key is popped out they"ll not replace my keyboard.
After talking to customer care, I was seriously shocked because the key which is popped out is still working and the keyboard is in warranty & they are not replacing it. [The keys which are not working are E, R, T, G, F etc.]
The "S" key which is popped out is completely working FINE but due to the fact that it is Popped Out, they are not replacing my keyboard.
[The Matter of fact is that one key cannot destroy the whole keyboard specially if the key is working fine]
And the customer care knows that this is a manufacturing defect in this keyboard & they still want me to pay a handsome amount in order to replace my keyboard.
It is seriously very disappointing & unexpected.
I want my keyboard to be replaced by them as it is still in warranty,
Hoping for a reply.
