HP India — Worst possible customer service | |||
HP has got the worst possible service. My compaq 15s-104tx laptop developed a problem within 20 days of purchase. Since I had warranty, I called HP service center. The bios settings of my laptop had changed automatically. So, my laptop wasn't able to find the boot file. Nor was I able to change the bios settings as it was asking for bios password which I had never set. So, I told the service agent about my problem. From then on started 30 minutes of wasted time. I am pretty sure he would have put my call on hold atleast 4-5 times totally amounting to around 15 minutes of hold. Fine, that wasn't the big part, he asked me to send a mail with snapshots of the error messages and made me wait another 5 minutes so that, I could receive my case ID. Fine, that also wasn't a problem, as I was ready to wait any amount of time to get my laptop repaired as long as it is free. But that duffer called me back and accused me that I had forgotten the password. On top of that, he said, I may have to pay money as it is supposedly my fault and hence will not be covered under warranty. I argued with him for another 5 minutes that I had never set the password and that there has to be a default password. But no, he did not accept. He even tried to convince me by stressing the phrase "YOU MAY HAVE TO PAY".His "MAY HAVE TO" is equal to 100% they get money. I finally got irritated and cut the call. Evidently, it seems that every laptop has its own default password and so did mine. It took me a matter of 5 minutes to solve the entire problem by searching through google . HP service sucks.
