Hp — NOT GIVING SERVICE DURING WARRANTY PERIOD

I bought an hp laptop Sl no. 5CD23032R5 on 6 Oct last yr from Port Blair knowing it to b a leading brand. I lodged a complaint on 30 Sep regarding power issue n was given the case id [protected]. I was told that it would take 3 to 4 business days to rectify the pbm. I was in Kochi at that time n was moving to Assam on Puja vacations on 31 Sep. The cust care representative assured me that at any corner of India the engineers can reach n rectify the pbm once the address is given. So I have given the add of Kolkata where I stayed on 3 n 4 Oct. The local representatives at Kolkata contacted me on 3 Oct fm Park Street n told that they r on the way n took the details of the route to my home from Sonarpur. But they neither came on 3 Oct nor contacted me any more. I did wait for them till evenning n thereafter tried to contact them. When I contacted them in the evenning they again diverted me to the cust care no. of Delhi after keeping my call on hold for more than 10 mins. When I called the given no. of Delhi I was told that the services would close for the day as it was about to 6 pm n to wait for next day. I did wait on 4 Oct but neither did they call me nor did they come. I started for Assam in the evenning of 4 Oct. I informed them earlier about my tour programme. While in Assam both my contact nos. did not work due to North-Eastern region problem. Now after coming to Kolkata when I enquired about the status, I m shocked that they closed the case quoting 'customer not contactable'. I guess they were not in a mood to solve my pbm. Again I lodged a complaint on 30 Oct having case Id [protected]. Now Mr. Goutam Singh of HP Kolkata is saying that the product is out of warranty n I have to send them the copy of the original Invoice by email. I fear that they were waiting for the warranty to get expired so that they can claim a huge amount fm me for rectifying the pbm.
