Hyundai Motor India — Poor, unsatisfactory service and the product as such | |||
My Verna UP16AP7965 bought in Jul 2013 has done only 46000 km and has been giving me problems of Clutch, Steering and window power switch of front right side windows. The clutch has given the problem second time. Earlier when the car had done about 15000 km, changing the gears was a problem especially the reverse gear. At a huge expenditure it was replaced then. Now again when the car has done about 40000 km, the problem has recurred. The steering has also started giving the problem. While moving it, a lot of noise is made. The window switch is mal-functioning giving problem in lowering/raising the glass. I took the car to the dealer in Noida - Nimbus Motors Pvt. Ltd. Sector 5, Noida on 11 Aug 2016. After preparing a repair order, I was told by the Supervisor to collect the car in the evening. In the evening after confirming on telephone, I went to collect the car. I was told by the Supervisor that the repairs had been done. He had done the greasing & oiling of the clutch and steering. He said that presently window power switch was not available for replacement but he had placed a demand and in the meanwhile the window switch had been cleaned and it should take care of the problem for the time being. On receipt of the switch, he will let me know and replace it. As regards the clutch after having been greased it will not give the problem. About the steering, he said he was not sure about the problem but having greased/oiled it, there will be no problem. I was given a bill of Rs 627.00 which I paid. However, when I drove the car, I found that the defects persisted and I had the same issues remaining unresolved. I called the Supervisor and told him about the matter. He said to use the car and when I return for the switch he will see to the problem more thoroughly. In any case I have not received any intimation about the switch though more than 15 days have passed. I am still carrying on with the problems. The problems are becoming more troublesome. The Dealer has been very casual about attending to the defects in my car and I feel I have been fooled and made to pay for nothing. It is not expected from Hyundai establishment at all. I am shocked to find such defects taking place in my car. The second time problem with the clutch, the problem with the steering and the problem with the power switch for the window are not understood. I always thought Hyundai products are excellent as regards the quality and the workmanship. I can not believe this happening to me. I am a retired Army Officer and have been driving cars for almost 50 years and have handled cars of most of the makes. Always thought the Hyundai cars were the best. But my own personal experience makes me think otherwise. May I request you to please look in to the problems mentioned above. Was this information helpful? | |||
