ICICI Bank — Credit card fraud and harassment

I would like to flag a list of issues with the bank i have been facing from the last 7 months. It been 8 years since i have an account in ICICI bank and i am fed up with the trouble they are causing me. Let me give you a brief so that you have a clear picture of the issue. Last year August i was given a credit card from your bank. The card had an outstanding of Rs. 40, 000 which i defaulted in paying as i had to travel abroad for a few months. When i got back i found out that the outstanding has reached Rs.60, 000 with the fines and taxes. The bank had issued a lein on my account which i understood is because of the default in payments. I went to the bank next day and met the bank officials. They explained that it is due to the default so if you make the payment it will all be back to normal. I was given two options either to do a settlement if i cannot pay the whole amount or clear the complete outstanding and you can use your credit card as well.So i decided to pay the entire amount and settled the complete outstanding. I spoke to the bank officials they said your card will be active and the lien will also be removed. I waited for 3 months and the card never got activated when i spoke to the bank officials they said it will not be activated. In simple words they misguided me after being fair to pay up for the complete outstanding. Today again they have issued a lien as per your customer care representative saying there is an outstanding of Rs.4000 on the Credit card. I dont even a credit card anymore as the one your bank issued never got activated. Now they say there is a outstanding.Even if there is a outstanding of Rs.4000, you will block an account without notifying the customer? When i made the payment of Rs.60, 000 they could have added this amount as well and told me i would have settled it then itself. At that time they said 60, 000 is the total amount and there is no more outstanding on the card. So how did this come up? I dont have the credit card anymore nor i have used it for last 6 months and if the have the credibility to pay 60, 000 i can pay 4000 also. The bank just can't issue lien all the time. It's completely wrong and can cause alot of trouble for the customer. I don't have the card so how will i make a payment? If there is an outstanding you can debit it from the account and close it. Issuing lien is not the solution and its for the second time in last 3 months. Before issuing the lien just debit the money if their is a outstanding. I am a privilege customer of your bank and if i am going through so much trouble in banking with your bank i really don't know what to say anymore. I would request you to please look into this matter and resolve it as soon as possible. If it continues like this i have to withdraw my account from your bank because i have never faced such thing with any other bank. Your bank has been misguiding their customers and harassing them way beyond their limits please take an appropriate action before customers start losing faith in ICICI bank. I am really really upset with the service and such actions. If this is the way your customers are treated i am sorry to say that i thought of ICICI bank as one of the best banking partners and i am proved horribly wrong in my judgement.

With reference to the above credit card, I have asked to close the card after blocking in the month of Dec-2014 after clearing my all dues of Rs13500.00. But I surprised in the month April-2015 you have raised bill for due. Again in the month May you have raised the bill for Rs.1238.23. I have not used credit card after Dec-2014. In the month I noticed some reward point showing in my account I redeemed not knowing the fees to be paid. Any how I am ready to pay the redeemed fees. Because you have not closed the card in the month of Dec-2014 i.e. not my side fault. In this regard I have contacted nearest branches, customer Care and Bommanahalli Branch Credit card Section I have not get any results. Please notice my transactions whatever I done so far no defaults or late payments. Hence, I requesting you to waive off all the dues whatever in account and send NOC. I hope you will do the same. I am waiting for your reply.
