[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — Credit Card rewards points Fraud for 6999/-

Respected Sir, I got call from ICICI bank credit card department on 23-Aug-2014 from Delhi with this phone# +[protected].They told me that my credit card reward points around 7000 have been expired last month and asked me to go for Icici Services for which they can utilize my rewards points. I asked them how to trust whether the call is from really icici or some other person, they told me last transactions, last payment and also they sent me OTP password to my registered mobille# and also to my registered email-id. Once i got message to both phone and email-id, i accepted that they are calling from icici and agreed to take their services.The services mentioned to me that they ll send 7000/- worth Shoes, sunglasses, wrist watch, wallet & some online vouchers which can be used to purchase any other online. They said will charge from my credit card for now and will revert back in 3 days the entire amount with my expired Rewards points. I entered my OTP password and card details thru IVR on that day and 6999/- was debited from my credit card. Today I called to icici bank and they are saying it is Fraud and they dont revert back the money.These are the Fraudsters phone numbers# +[protected], +[protected], +[protected] Please help me to resolve this problem and to stop this Fraud and take strict action on those people who are cheating. Hello Customer Care, Yesterday[protected] i received
the call which the other side lady said i am from ICICI Credit Card
Department and this is regarding the "Lapsed Reward/Redeem Points"
offer.She told that your 8000 points has been lapsed till now and we had an offer to revert them back.On
further she ask the details about me and said to verify the
credentials/verification, kindly do lets us know the BIRTH DATE, Credit
Card Issue date and Credit Card Expiry Date With the Credit Card
Number. On this i object that is this details are safe to give on call,
she replied that i am not asking your CVV and PIN number.On
which i provided the above details and further she told me that you
will received the 6 digit code which i should give to her senior
executive. I said OK and they generated the OTP. When the senior
executive called me after that, she asked me the OTP and i inquiry about
that i am not convinced that you are calling from ICICI bank, upon
which she told that the 6 digit code i received is from ICICI bank on my
mobile and on my email. At that time i couldn't realize that anyone can
generate the OPT if they had some details about the card.So
i immediately call the customer service and BLOCK my card. I want to
share the call details with you so you can take further action upon
them.

Same issue was happened to me also..I also a gave an complaint against this and informed to branch office also..
Waiting for solution and most of people are suffering from this same problem. so we all join together( Affected persons), bank side customer service team and take further action against this.Then only we will get solution it is not end like us so many people are suffering and suffering daily..So we should raise voice against this to avoid the problem occurring in future to unknown public (peoples)..Oterwise it may create very bib problem...

I received a similar call today from number [protected]. The person started the call like this. Due to recent RBI guidelines on reward points, we have started replacing the existing credit cards to our customers. I asked they why havent i received this information on email, nor i heard about any such RBI move. The person said that is internal circular, and we are replacing your card. Please confirm your full name. Date of birth. I told him to transfer the call to his superior. Another guy came on the line and he introduced himself as the supervisor, and gave his employee id and convinced me that i dont have to bother anything on security. We have all the information, in front of our screen, but for voice calling we should here from you thats why we are asking the info. He said that a pin number will be sent to you in SMS from our bank now, can you read out that number so that we can despatch the new card. I told him that I will call up police and ICICI branch then will get back to them. He said, no problem sir, after all safety is very important, appreciate you are very alert but you should believe in when we calling from the branch. I said thanks for the complements, will connect with you after speaking to the branch. He tried to convince further to get the OTP, but i hanged the phone and called ICICI about this. They confirmed this is a fraudulent call and you can go for registering a complaint in police if you want or go for blocking the card and get a replacement card.

I got a call from phone number +91 [protected]. Looks like a fraudulent call similar to Sundar has notified. I disconnected the call when they asked for CVV number. Please take the required action.

My name is Chaitanya and I have received the same request from the +91114 numbers given above.. They have all my transaction details and all the information needed to do this transaction... Only thing they dont have is the OTP which I refused to give since this is for an online credit card transaction... They said that they are not attempting to make any online transaction, but it clearly was on the sms I received... When I started asking about the [protected]@1 sponsorship in this transaction and started interrogating them... they just were blank and backed off and finally disconnected the call...

You need to take action on this issues... how do they have all the information.. where are they getting from...??
Please track them by the numbers or any other sources and bust these fraudsters... Requesting you to please take action as I could sense that the innocent ones will be victim for these trap...

Hi All,
i have received same call today and i have lost amt of 7k.
But after i was thinking what it was happen ?
First of all, it was my fault, i should not share my details.
But every transaction can track by Bank and Visa company,
we all have numbers (all are same called numbers ) and transaction time and i have recorded call also.
If and only if police, bank and visa company help us we can catch them and get our back soon.
i m from Bangalore,
Please let a single team and force to Bank and consumer court to resolve issue.
No one is hear us here. we have to together.

I also got duped Rs.6999/- by rewards scam. I have received the call from [protected].
Even i have dumped for the amount of 7000/- and it's my fault to share the details. These people should be severely punished. Numbers from where i got calls.[protected] and [protected].

After all awareness about not to share any pin/otp i made mistake. :(
I also got a similar call from a Delhi number today +91 [protected] asking for credit card details. First question they asked me was "Which Bank's credit Card are you using?"

I disconnected after that.

ICICI Bank : Please take required action to stop such fraudulent calls.
Hello frds, on 9/11/2015 I got call from [protected] he told me that there is a problem on my ATM. He asked me my ATM no. Which I gave them then he told me that you will receive otp which I have to tell them and II gave them that otp no. And on 10/11/2015 3 transaction done and I lost 10000. But yet I have not understand through one otp how they are able to do 3 transaction. Well my q's is will I get back my money?
Y it is happening with only ICICI bank holdars. I having others also but yet I didn't get such type of call.

Exactly same call I got from [protected], a lady claiming from ICICI bank stating my current ICICI Credit card will be blocked soon according to recent RBI guidelines and the reward points will be converted to cash and get deposited to my credit card account. She then was directing me to an IVR which supposedly will generate a new IVR for me, before which I have to give my personal details. I told let me call branch to verify and disconnected.

They even threatened that please dont blame the bank if the card gets BLOCKED since you are not giving details.!! Horrific...they also had mock seniors on floor to fool you that you are talking to a senior official.

ICICI Bank please take action...!!
