[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — New account not activated

Dear Sir/ Madam, This is in reference to a Jana Dhan Yojna account opening in the esteemed branch of ICICI bank Mughalsarai a programme started by our Prime minister.. With due respect I state that I Nafeesuddin Siddiqui is a resident of Mughalasarai and wished to open an account under the above mentioned programme and submitted all my documents to the Mughalsarai Branch staff Mr. Diwakar Sahni who promised that the same will get open in Four- Seven working days. He didnt give me any receiving for this saying it is as per the structure of this programme.He also assured me that I will receive sms alerts for this process on my Mobile . After almost 15 days I contacted him through my friend who had taken me there but he assured that there is some technical delay due to lot of forms and to wait another 4-5 days. This kept on repeating every 4-5 days. Almost 2 months or more has passed and nothing has been done. Now he doesnt gives proper response and nor does anyone in the bank.He keeps on saying to wait and that there is no way that they can track the account information. This is highly disgusting and embarrassing situation for me when I think that this is such a high profile programme started by our honourable Prime Minister. It is really surprising to even think that what would be the condition and services provided to normal customers of bank. I am in a fix and not able to decide what to do and whom to contact so thought of writing to you. Regards, Nafeesuddin Siddiqui Mughalsarai [protected]

The manager and customer care team called and enquired about this incident and then he instructed the team to follw the guidelines. after seven days the issue was resolved.
ICICI Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
