Idea Cellular — Full disclosure withheld. Lack of Communication and response to Complaints

I was called by a representative of Idea in the end of March citing the benefits of various packs I should switch t, one of them being 1299 pack ( This is what I was told- 4000 std minutes + 100 roaming minutes +5 gob 3g data). As per the info given to me, I switched to the 1299 pack which started from march 22- April 22 cycle. Post this I went to Bangalore and adjoining places in the 1st week of April. While checking my bill as per usual, I found out that a sum of Rs. 2096/- had been levied on my number as "data usage' within that period. I called Idea customer service on the 1st of april inquiring about the same (Comm Id# C1-[protected] Submitted) Only then was I informed for the 1st time that since now I am on 3G now, i am supposed to manually select the IDEA network . AND that while in Noida, which is my residence and my billing address, I am supposed to switch to Vodafone Network as Idea has a tieup with them. . Also, same applies for roaming calls, regardless of the 1000 free roaming provided by my 1299 pack. So basically i was NOT informed of these exceptions while being sold the options. OR when I opted for a pack. The first time that i was told of this was when I called with this complaint to the customer care on the 1st of April AFTER the bill had been levied. Anyway, I was deeply disappointed that full disclosure was'nt given to me and i told the customer executive the same. She agreed and then I was informed that something could be done about this only after the bill was generated at the end of my cycle. Once my bill was generated on the 24th.I made my 2nd call with regard to the same I spoke to the executive and got a call back from the Manager where I explained the whole scenario again and we spoke at length. She apologised for the lack of total info given and proceeded to assure me that for this first time this would be considered and she has placed a request for processing of a waiver this time and I will be getting a call confirming the same within a day or two at max.( Comm Id# C1-[protected] Closed) Then After not hearing from them for 2 days, i called again on the 26th of Aril, spoke to another executive. explained to her regarding the problem and the assurances made during the earlier call again. I was again assured that she will make a call on this regard and put it in for processing and i would be getting a confirmation withing a day or two at max. After not hearing from anybody yet again, , I called today AGAIN.( SR_TAS0103_20_EMAIL) Spoke to YET another executive who told me that there is NO request placed on their database and that she is helpless in this matter and that I should Mail here regarding the same. She also assured a call back from the manager. Now, words cannot express how hassled and annoyed with this whole thing. Not only was I not given Complete disclosure when I was called with these pack offers, neither was i informed of the vodafone and the idea switching manual thing. Also, the customer care executive, although has been polite, but by assuring me of processing a request and not doing it NOR reverting back with info on the same is SO unprofessional and plain wrong. Even the Manager who assures me of processing a waiver request cant be trusted. So i fail to comprehend whose words to trust. I am not only hassled at the lack of information and communication of fine print of these offers but also deeply saddened with the lack of basic etiquettes and consideration that your company has towards it customers. I am thoroughly hassled of calling again and again only to be assured of processing of waiver again and again only to not get any info or confirmation regarding the same.
