Idea Cellular — Idea cheating customers

Respected Sir/Madam, I have an Idea postpaid no. [protected]. On 27th Oct. 14 at 6:18 pm I got a sms from Idea that some 3G plan has been activated on my number as I had not made any request I called their customer care immediately at 6:21 pm. The customer care executive told me that I had gone to their My Idea Showroom and requested for the plan I argued that how is it possible. He said if you have used 3G you would be charged for whole plan that is Rs. 250. I argued why I am being burdened with something I have not used nor requested but he said I cannot do anything you would be charged. I thought whatever they will charge would be seen later I should place request for stopping 3G service immediately so my request was processed at 6:38 pm(confirmation sms attached) for stopping 3G. The next day when I was checking my unbilled usage I noticed that I have been charged around Rs. 1100 for three minutes o[censored]sage of 3G. Even the customer care executive confirmed that( recorded voice calls attached). I requested the executive that I have been charged too large a amount for something which I had not even requested so please lodge my complaint that someone has gone to your showroom and made such request on my behalf so that some investigation could be done but he said that you wait for bill to be invoiced than we lodge complaint. What does that mean untill than I should live in fear of paying such an amount and stop using my gprs which could generate amount in thousands of rupees in 3 minutes I fear what could they have charged if I had not called for hours. Now everytime I use my gprs I fear what could they charge and change my plans without sms and I switch off my gprs immediately if I am not using it. These cellular companies like idea are ruthless killers in future people will commit suicide because they would not be able pay such exorbitant bill amounts generated by these companies. They activate random services by themselves and than allege that you had gone to our showroom when everyone knows that such requests can be made over the phone or online which are recorded and cannot be denied. Why should not the complaint be registered when I am saying that I had not visited your showroom either I am at fault and I should be dealt with legally or otherwise you are trying to make a steal of customer money and people responsible should be booked. I know if some poor person like me would have been caught under such mysterious circumstances stealing or making such economical offences he would have been put behind bars but no action is taken against representatives of such company because they are rich not even a mere inquire is put up. TRAI is such an agency which has to take action against such companies but it is hardly heard that some action was taken against these companies but it is only the customer who has to suffer. If no action is taken I request every customer who has suffered such losses to put all the proofs online so that other customer can see like I am putting the call recordings with customer care executive and screenshots of sms received. If customers get united and fight together no telecom company would be able to steal our money. Company which promotes tag lines as "no ullu banawing" because customer has Idea Gprs, customer does not know how costly this gprs could be and Idea itself makes ullu of customer. I request other consumers and readers to suggest legal battle and how to proceed further. Urgent help needed as my bill has been generated for Rs. 2284 when average bill for last five months is less than Rs. 500. I was given rebate after these letters but was forced to use 3G services and have been paying for both 3G and 2G when I can only use any one of them as can seen from my account there has been no 2G usage, and now I am getting almost double the amount I used to get earlier. I have an Idea postpaid no. [protected] with plan 999 with 5 Gb 3g data plan
Idea internet 3g connection in my Bhosari area is useless to enquire I called up customer care when i complained to customer care they said to change the plan even then Their internet connection is not good and i started using Vodafone sim for internet now when I received the bill they charged exorbitantly sum of 7700/-
when contacted customer care the executive says their system are down and cannot answer
internet charges for no internet. TRAI is such an agency which has to take action against such companies but it is hardly heard that some action was taken against these companies but it is only the customer who has to suffer. If no action is taken I request every customer who has suffered such losses to put all the proofs online so that other customer can see like I am putting the call recordings with customer care executive and screenshots of sms received. Idea is worst mobile communications company ever these guys are planning to launch 4g all over India! Like their 3g works best?. I use idea 3g network..3g is just by name, it never works ..It takes two Seconds to switch to 2G from 3G...Even if i am getting full 3G network. But it automatically switches to 2g..
Maximum is iresponsible person is ur 198 ccare, i think they all r not proper trained, bcoz i[censored] asking same problem so many time every time they answered different different, i[censored] don't believe then try it yourself... or else they are well trained to fool the Customer
Worst fraud company, pathetic customer service I have ever seen in my life. They will disconnect your call while you are complaining. You can call or mail them 1000 times, still these shameless people have no regret about their customers...😈
Idea cellular is is a big cheater in 3G. It is a scam.
1 GB data consumed in 5 min spent on whats app that too without downloading any video/picture.
I am going to change the service provider.
Hi i had recharged my account for 147 scheme which gave 1gb 3g+ 1gb 4g data for 28 days which ends 18 nov 2016. wen my 3g data is over, it hs nt activated 4g data. The customer care also doesnt pick up. Pathetic service from idea. should nt send data plan schemes if they do not work.
Hi i had recharged my account for 175 scheme which gave 1gb 2G data for 28 days which got end within a week even with less usage. . The customer care also not answering properly. Pathetic and worst service from idea. Idiotic behaviours. if i dont get a proper feedback i will throw this sim to dustbin and not even allow dog to take it for sure.

I HAVE CHEATED BY IDEA IN THE NAME OF IDEA ULTIMATE PLAN 499 / 4G. its mean that. 1GB DATA PER DAY.
They are not providing at all but there fully charging the amount.

BUT THEY HAVE CHARGED FOR 300MB IS 1485 RUPEES.
I asked the local customer care center, they just dont now about this scams.
One girl said 1kb is 4 rupees and other girl said 10kb is 4 rupees. In my bill also not clear. no where they mentioned the price per kb. who is right and who is wrong.
FINALLY I FED UP WITH THIS IDEA . I TRIED TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES TO CUSTOMER CARE BUT, NO REPLAY FROM THEM.
Idea is ridiculous...i have a data plan of 1gb per day for 28 days.
The problem is that...for example iam using just whatsapp for 3mins(no background apps using data) they will charge me 180mb for 3min...just some texting...no media file downloaded or send...wtf idea...cheating in daylight

I re-charged my pre-paid mobile number with RS 149 and received the receipt saying recharge was successful.I recharged torugh the Idea official site https://www.myvi.in/prepaid/.
But the recharge was not applied to my mobile. Whem I tried to contact customer care they kept on saying check after 4 hours .

And now they are saying customer service executives are busy and cut the call.

This is really a big fraud and I never expected this to happen.
