Idea Cellular — Idea forcing schemes on customers

Respected Sir/Madam, I have an Idea postpaid no. [protected]. On 27th Oct. 14 at 6:18 pm I got a sms from Idea that some 3G plan has been activated on my number as I had not made any request I called their customer care immediately at 6:21 pm. The customer care executive told me that I had gone to their My Idea Showroom and requested for the plan I argued that how is it possible. He said if you have used 3G you would be charged for whole plan that is Rs. 250. I argued why I am being burdened with something I have not used nor requested but he said I cannot do anything you would be charged. I thought whatever they will charge would be seen later I should place request for stopping 3G service immediately so my request was processed at 6:38 pm(confirmation sms) for stopping 3G. The next day when I was checking my unbilled usage I noticed that I have been charged around Rs. 1100 for three minutes o[censored]sage of 3G. Even the customer care executive confirmed that( recorded voice calls attached). I requested the executive that I have been charged too large a amount for something which I had not even requested so please lodge my complaint that someone has gone to your showroom and made such request on my behalf so that some investigation could be done but he said that you wait for bill to be invoiced than we lodge complaint. What does that mean untill than I should live in fear of paying such an amount and stop using my gprs which could generate amount in thousands of rupees in 3 minutes I fear what could they have charged if I had not called for hours. Now everytime I use my gprs I fear what could they charge and change my plans without sms and I switch off my gprs immediately if I am not using it. These cellular companies like idea are ruthless killers in future people will commit suicide because they would not be able pay such exorbitant bill amounts generated by these companies. They activate random services by themselves and than allege that you had gone to our showroom when everyone knows that such requests can be made over the phone or online which are recorded and cannot be denied. Why should not the complaint be registered when I am saying that I had not visited your showroom either I am at fault and I should be dealt with legally or otherwise you are trying to make a steal of customer money and people responsible should be booked. I know if some poor person like me would have been caught under such mysterious circumstances stealing or making such economical offences he would have been put behind bars but no action is taken against representatives of such company because they are rich not even a mere inquire is put up. TRAI is such an agency which has to take action against such companies but it is hardly heard that some action was taken against these companies but it is only the customer who has to suffer. If no action is taken I request every customer who has suffered such losses to put all the proofs online so that other customer can see like I am putting the call recordings with customer care executive and screenshots of sms received. If customers get united and fight together no telecom company would be able to steal our money. I request other consumers and readers to suggest legal battle and how to proceed further. [protected] I had lodged this complaint the resolution given to me was that you use our 3G plan we would be giving you concession and now I have started to get overly expensive bills above my average usage, I never had a requirement of 3G but was force fed by unethical means.
