[Resolved]  Idea — Charges on data pack proration #

Dear sir,
I am not satisfied with my recent billing cycle of 5425.03 for postpaid idea no. [protected].
Orry to state but when customer care was contacted, it was informed that on 25th of september some facility has been activated by customer, for which they are charging 3225.56. And the customer has to pay for the money. I had ported this number from vodafone anticipating good customer services, but this is something different, where i am feeling myself being fleeced of my money.

sorry to state but when customer care was contacted, it was informed that on 25th of september some facility has been activated by customer. And the customer has to pay for the money.Charges on Data Pack Pro-ration # 3225.56 is what they charged tand added it with service tax. I feel cheated as I was using just i999 plan pack.
I had ported this number from vodafone anticipating good customer services, but this is something different, where i am feeling myself being fleeced of my money.

I have been customer of your company since long and so had been several of my boys. This kind of experience where i am feeling like duped, it is not digestible.

kindly look into my billing issue and revert back to me. otherwise, i have made my mind of not continuing with this number further.

Hi Esther,

One gentleman had called from idea from number [protected] (named as Punit probably).
Idea need to train this guy as how to talk. His way of talk was full of arrogance and nonsense, why do you employ such people without proper training in customer care?

please dont call if you have arrogant people in your command line to solve the issue.

My mail is with you guys. It would be appreciable if you guys communicate me through mail.
One thing is clear, you guys have wrongly charged me.
i999 plan can be double at the maximum if modified but not as you have charged.
it is requested kindly mail me in detail.
so that i can take up the matter for settlement outside this forum in other consumer places.
I dont see Idea solving this issue.

it is hard to understand that why Idea didnt inform by mail or message that they are going to charge on pro rata basis. your customer service associate on fourth october informed that it is the company policy that any change by the customer of i999 plan will go on pro rata data charges. This fact may be known to the company and those who are formulating such policy.
But why Idea didnt inform that to customer by a message or mail. Even when other promotional details are being sent by idea through mail and message.

Please revert back with what is being done with my case, so that i can plan for my next course of action.

We wish to inform you that 3G iPlan Pack was active on your number from 25th September 2016.

As per pro rata calculation free benefit for the above mentioned pack for 23 days was 2649600 KB.

However, you have consumed 3455990 KB data during this period and overage usage of 806390 KB data had been charged at 4 paisa per 10KB.

Therefore, the charges of Rs.3225.56/- levied against your number for data usage are correct as per the usage and we shall be unable to reverse the same.

Hence, we express our inability to provide you any waiver for the same.

I have few questions from the idea team.

Did any information was given to the customer i.e. to me for the levy of pro rata charges to the customer by any means by idea?

The executive who called me probably from higher up from idea hierarchy is not ready to consider my case. Who will consider this point that will a customer who is having the plan of i999 will consume just data charges of the tune of 3200? was it not the responsibility of the Idea to inform the same to the customer in between when this data was being levied?

I was not informed anytime about this issue, only when i received the bill, i get to know about pro rata charges.Is it the way of functioning of idea?

When in detail the matter was informed to the customer care executives, they are saying that customer should have contacted idea service? Is it only the responsibility of customer or idea also has got something to do?

I have been customer of idea since long and i didnt have any problem before. This is the first time I had a genuine problem and the response from idea is that of whatever the accounting department is doing that is right. This is pathetic and stubborn attitude.

I hope the team idea will take care of the points and will revert back to me with genuine bill.

pathetic response and you have not cared for point mentioned. In fact, idea is not ready to accept its fault. I will move to the consumer court.
