Idea — Inflated Bill

Dear Sir,
I intend to file the complaint against the Idea Cellular for deficiency in services and sending inflated bills against the mobile number [protected]. I would like to draw your kind attention towards the following issues:-

1. I have been availing gsm services of idea since a very long time. But for the last 2-3 months I have witnessed deficiency in the services provided by idea and also they have been sending inflated bills to me.
2. Recently they have sent me an inflated bill amounting Rs. 4631/- for the month of January which I don’t think I am liable to pay. I called them to know the reason for the same but they told me that I have availed those services and after requesting them repeatedly, they took my request with communication id C1-[protected] on 29th January, but action has been taken in this regard.
3. This is to bring to your notice that Idea has been raising my credit limits with my consent or duly informing me which is against the guidelines issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Actually they should have barred by outgoing calls and other services in order to convey me that I have crossed the credit limit and the services can be restarted only after raising the credit limit. I have given them no authority in writing or orally to increase my credit limit without knowing my economic capacity to pay any increased amount.
4. Idea has also been charging me for changing my plan from one to another which is also against the guidelines of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India which says that service providers cannot change customer for changing my plan from one to another. They (idea) also never intimated about such charges to me in any possible manner.
5. They have also charged me inappropriately for data usage for the month of January and they never intimated me about such charges at the time of request for the services and during the time o[censored]sage and only after the receipt of bill I came to know about such charges.
6. I would also like to bring to your notice that after the expiry of data pack, the internet used to stop working and I was able to access the internet only after getting new data pack which is clearly a deficiency in services on the part of Idea.
7. They are trying to establish their monopoly as service provider and sending the inflated bills without the consent of their customers. It amount to unfair trade practice which cannot be accepted in a free economy. If such practices are not stopped then they will continue to charge any sum from the customers which will ultimately put undue financial burden on the customers along with mental agony.
8. I never expected this sort of services from Idea network and never thought that they will cheat with their customers by sending those inflated bills.
9. I would like to tell you that this has come as a shock to me as I have never used services for which I have been charged so excessively. Had I been aware of this, I would have discontinued the services of Idea.
10. This has also caused mental agony to me as I am not having the capacity to pay inflated bills for a single month. It has also caused financial hardship to me as well.
11. Under the facts and circumstances as above mentioned they(Idea) are requested to waive the bill of January otherwise I will be forced to take appropriate legal action /proceedings against Idea and in that event Idea shall be liable to pay us compensation for the deficiency of services suffered by me apart from legal cost incurred and pay me all the expenses and costs incurred by me on account of inflated bills raised by you.
