I had purchased an IFB Neptune VX dishwasher which was delivered on 13-September-2014. The technician came for installation on 26-September 2014 after a lot of follow-up. On installation, the entire kitchen floor was flooded with water. The technician checked the appliance and concluded that IFB has supplied a damaged item. There was a dent on the side and possible internal damage. The technician has taken photographs and said he would submit this to IFB along with a report for replacement. I called up the IFB call centre, but they would not register a request for replacement asking me instead to contact the Chennai branch of IFB. I do not know the status, but in the 1st place IFB should completely check the item before packing.What is surprising is that there is no sign of damage in the carton which means IFB has packed a damaged piece without testing or checking. Please advise on how do I file a complaint at the consumer forum. Was this information helpful? |
