[Resolved] IFB — IFB microwave - bad product and WORST service | |||
I purchased an IFB microwave this year. Since then, i have experienced the worst services ever for any product in my life. 1. First, somebody was expected to visit my place and explain the microwave features. Nobody came for it. We called and requested for one person. Still, nobody came despite the customer care executive assuring that somebody will definitely come within 24 hours. It has been around 6 months now. 2. Secondly, the microwave was not working properly as it doesn't heat evenly. I complained for it. Still, nobody came despite the customer care executive assuring that somebody will definitely come within 24 hours. 3. Lastly, the microwave almost stopped working properly so that we can't use it. I raised a complaint on customer care again and told about my history of services. The person assured that somebody will definitely come next morning. I filed this complaint on 24 May (ticket no.[protected]. Nobody turned up. Next week, I again called on 30 May (ticket[protected] to ask why didn't anybody come to attend. The person on call assured me that this time this will get solved for sure, without any doubt. Today (on 18th June), nomebody called me from IFB. The person told that he can come for repair. I asked what is the reason of so much of delay in attending the call. The person cut the call without responding. Then, after one hour, he called that he has reached my home. I asked him that why didn't he ask whether i am at home or no. I can't keep waiting forever at home that an IFB person will come and repair my oven. Also, i had requested in all calls to customer care that please send somebody on Saturday only. Then he claimed that he had told that he is coming. I was shocked looking at the manner he was talking. First of all, he was lying. Over that, he was talkign so arrogantly and without even answering anything further he cut the call. I am really regretting buying IFB product. IFB is the most worst product ever and dont buy it, i bought a microwave 23SC2 model in 08, 2010. meanwhile i had a onida microwave bought even before this one - and its running without any issues so far. I use IFB microwave only for lite cooking and sparingly since i do all my cooking on my Onida Microwave - which is easy-to-use product. This IFB microwave got issues with turntable in 09, 2013 and the service guy visited twice and ripped me off (since it is out of warranty) - almost Rs 1000 and again he says the board needs to be changed - which will cost around rs.3000/- plus. Hence instead of getting this kind of lousy service with IFB - i decided to move to other product brands, and i am happy now with other Brands (Onida, LG etc., ). IFB is the most unreliable product and service is the worst of all - they think that are selling and servicing the rockets!!! Don't ever even dream of buying anything from IFB.
As you see the comments above from IFBCustomercare, a person visited after a long time and said that there is an inherent problem with my magnetron and it is supposed to be replaced and he will get back once the new magnetron will be available. When i asked how much time it will take he said he cannot tell as it depends upon the inventory, blah blah blah.
Till now (28 October), since first week of July, it has become almost 4 months, the person has not reverted.
IFB is so prompt in responding in customer forums like this while in reality, they do a pathetic job.
In my case, my microwave oven was never fine and i managed to get somebody visit my place after almost 6-7 months. Now, it has been 4 more months. My warranty is going to expire due to end of 1 year period. After this, they will tell me that warranty is over and they cannot anything.
They have really troubled me a lot and i really regret buying product from such company.

The issue that was raised in June by me here has not yet been resolved. IFB guys are very prompt in updating it here that IFB is acting on the issue.
Whereas the truth i, everytime IFB guys call after i raise a complaint and then never return back.
Once a guy visited my place too, and told that my magnetron is not fine and needs to be changed because of manufacturer's defect.
Since then, nobody has returned.
My complaint is still unresolved.
I am seriously frustrated and sick of IFB. Badly regretting buying from them.
