Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat is a national level social organisation working for the welfare of consumer and national rebuilding. we have conducted social audit of LPG cooking cylinder in the state of Himachal Pradesh. There are some findings. All the agencies are taking high charges for providing refiled LPG cylinders in these days. They are taking undue profit of Aadhar linkage process. Those who are not enrolled/entered with aadhar and bank account numbers are facing problems. Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat have many thousand recorded complaints in written as well as in video recordings. Agencies do not weight during deliver of cylinder. Their weighing machines are not in working condition. there is not any proper home delivery mechanism in M.C and delivery date chart for rural areas. No information about booking/delivery dates/time of delivery. Delivering under weight cylinders to customers. SMS mechanism for booking, delivery and conformation should be there. this is the time of IT and technology. Random checking of agencies and their working should be there. there should be complaint book with the delivery vans of LPG. there should be flex, banner pasted in LPG delivery vans, on the godown entry point reflecting/indicating current charges of LPG, separate home delivery charges and tax duty charges.
