[Resolved]  India Post — Non payment of cheque of S/B A/C No.[protected] of Allahabad H.O. Post Office

Address:Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh

Dear Sir, I have issued an account payee cheque No.215106 from my saving bank( cheque book issued in Aug.2014) A/C No. [protected]( in H.O. Post Office, Allahabad)on 18.09.2014 to Mr.Yash Agarwal, who inturn deposited the same in his account in Axis Bank, Civil Lines Allahabad on19.09.2014.Scan of cheque attatched as Ref.-1.Worth mentioning that drawer of the cheque is Post Office, H.O, M.G.Marg, Allahabad & drawer''s bank being State Bank of India. To my utter surprise the above cheque has not been cleared( Axis Bank communication placed at the end of this letter)and returned on the plea that it is a non CTS cheque which was denied for clearing by drawer's bank(SBI, Alld.).CTS memo from Axis Bank attatched as Ref.-2. I alongwith Axis Bank Officials contacted Post Master, Supdt. & other senior officials but to no avail. They showed their inability since Alld P.O. do not have CTS cheques. Non cooperative, negligent and callous attitude of senior officials at Alld. P.O. is a matter of serious concern .This has caused me big financial loss & humiliation .I fail to understand why such cheque book is issued to account holders and officers do not arrange for the clearing of these cheques causing harassment to account holders. Would you look into this matter personally so that justice is done at the earliest and I am not made to run from table to table . Thanking you, Vinod Kumar, S/B A/C No.[protected], 29C/3, Nyaya Marg, Allahabad. Mob: [protected] Communication received from AXIS BANK, Civil Lines, Alld .[protected] Forwarded message[protected]From: <nodal.[protected]@axisbank.com>Date: 24-Sep-2014 1:36 PMSubject: Re:Axis Bank-Mg Marg, Civil Lines Branch, Allahabad is incapable to clear my cheque since 6days despite repeated requestsTo: <[protected]@gmail.com>Cc: <Allahabad.[protected]@axisbank.com> Dear Dr Agarwal. We refer to your email dated September 24, 2014 on Cheque clearing. As per our telephonic conference call today with Allahabad Branchhead, we understand that drawer of the cheque (Post Office) has issued you a non CTS cheque (Cheque Truncation System (CTS) or Image-based Clearing System (ICS), in India, is a project undertaken by the Reserve Bank of India – RBI, for faster clearing of cheques. CTS is basically an online image-based cheque clearing system where cheque images are used for clearing the amount), which was denied for clearing by drawer's bank (State Bank of India). Further, our branch head had personally visited the drawer seeking clarification on clearing your cheque and we understand that they are unable to clear the cheque as drawer bank would not accept the same. As discussed we would request you to please take up the matter with the drawer for encashing the said amount. We understand your concern and our branch would be handing over the cheque and memo to you as per your convenience Regards, Tanya Paul, Nodal Officer Team, Axis Bank Ltd, NPC1, 5th Floor, "Gigaplex", Plot No I.T.5, MIDC, Airoli Knowledge Park, Airoli, Navi Mumbai-400708. Dear Sir, I have a saving account in Mehrauli Post Office, New Delhi-110030, I have issued an account payee cheque No.502771 from my saving bank(cheque book issued in March.2015) A/C No. [[protected]) on 20.12.2018 to Mr.D Kaushik. It is nigh impossible for a Govt cheque to bounce especially for a cheque issued by the post office which is like gold. Yes, it happens. Not only once because I again present the cheque for the same account cheque No. 502774 but its again returned and the reason they mention: “has returned unpaid due to CHQ DEPP RET- Kindly contact Drawer Drawe.
Its not good for Post Office Deptt. & for me and for Bank, the cheque payee party that I presented the cheque. Post Deptt. Return the cheque to Bank and the reason the mention “Kindly Contact Drawer Drawer Bank” its mean not they entered my cheque book entry in the post office bank record. I feel a shame to party its going bad impression cheque return twice due to postel deptt.& as well as I will pay fine for cheque retuned. Sir, who is responsible for it, this is not a healthy thing for me. So, kindly do the needful and see the matter personally.
One more thing sir, lots of time I registered my phone for SMS service of postel deptt. But everytime they told me now onward you will got SMS. But till date I don’t received even a single SMS. Registered Moble No. is [protected]
