[Resolved]  India Post — Tempering of Registered Parcel and removal of goods

A registered parcel No.A CG[protected]IN dated 05/12/2014 was despatched from Subhanpura post office (390023) to my daughter in law "Mona Mamtani" B-138 IIT Campus, Kharagpur 721302 ( W.B.). It was delivered at Kharagpur on 10th December afternoon with parcel re-stitched with different thread. On opening the parcel she found the contents haphazardly searched and packed with one "Phulkari jacket" costing R.895.00 missing. This is 2nd occasion we have faced the similar problem on this route. There is something wrong at Kharagpur RMS. I don't see any possibility in IIT Technology Post office. The matter must be investigated. Atma Prakash Mamtani
