Indian Railways — Upper berth allotment to senior citizen | |
Sir I have booked six ticket through irctc from puri to howrah by 12838 puri hwh express on 29th november 2016. Pnr. No.[protected] date of journey 19th february 2017. Although i choose two lower berths for senior citizen preference option but surprisingly the system allotted me all three alternative no seats with upper berths. Now i am very much afraid how my 73 years old father and 63 years old mother will avail the upper berth who has acute knee problem. Sir I have booked tickets for 3rd AC in intercity Indore Jodhpur express from Indore to Kota on 18th April 2017 .Being senior citizen I 69 and my wife 67 yrs old were both alloted upper berth instead of lower berth.when it is rule to allot lower berth to senior citizen why this violation?

I have booked ticket from IRCTC from Secunderabad to Howrah Jn. Train no. 18646 for 17th of October 2018, however I have availed lower seat for senior citizen age of 63 years. But I can see that instead of alloting seat for lower birth the system has allowed UPPER BIRTH seat. Now, how can a old lady take the upper birth.
Request to re allot the seat to lower birth.
