I called IGL customer care and reported about the gas leak from rubber pipe in our kitchen. The complaint was made around 1 pm. Till 9pm nobody had reverted to me even to provide an idea as to when anybody would come to replace the pipe. I was told by the customer care that within 3 hours somebody will contact and I should pick up my phone. I sat next to my phone and stayed put at home. When no contact was made even after 5 hours I called their zonal emergency as well as Delhi emergency numbers. They all reassured that somebody will be contacting within next 1 hour. Alas, several next hours passed and nobody contacted.
Forget about fixing the fault, they are not even able to tell me by when the problem will be addressed?
