Irctc — IRCTC Tatkal Booking Error "This site is currently unreachable. Please try after some time"

Dear IRCTC,

For the past 5 days I am trying to book tatkal ticket online and I am
getting the same error "This site is currently unreachable. Please try
after some time", even though I sharply login into the site at 10:00.

On first day I thought it might be some server issue which your
technical team will resolve in an hour or so (being crucial issue). But
for the continuous 5 days I am getting the same error.

I did my research about the same on Internet and found many articles
saying "Fraud of IRCTC", "Bribe IRCTC Officers making way for Agents,
who were not much into business because of lite version, using which a
bonafide consumer was able to book their urgent tickets" etc etc.

I demand a clear JUSTIFICATION on this issue. WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF THIS
ISSUE AND WHY THIS HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED ?

WHO ALL ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?

AND WHY I SHOULD NOT FILE A PROBE AGAINST IT?

same issue i am also facing. I haven't seen any ticket availablity in IRCTC even i logged in at right time. It showed an error " Service unreachable. I think irctc website hacked. after 15 minutes it showing waiting list what can we do.

For me also the same issue, the site was throwing error that it is not reachable and after 15 mts the site came up and by that time all tickets were on WL. Please look into this matter. Pls don;t allow the agents to misuse this site.

Why IRCTC is showing "This site is currently unreachable. Please try after some time" this error every time since last week at 10.00am when I am booking a Tatkal Ticket and after 30min when site comes to its normal position all tickets are on WL . Why this problem occurs from 10:00 am to 10:30am only and why IRCTC is not taking this problem seriously.

Whoever is doing this act i curse their family to go to hell..
If it is before 10 years then I would accept the need to sell tickets to agents..
why do they have to sell the tickets to agents while we have many options now to book tickets..

So clearly this is because the railway dept heads getting money from agents and sell our tickets...

It seems that IRCTC is purposefully doing this by enabling their black agent's ids for few minuets on Tatkal time. Its a new age crime.

I have teh same experience...tried booking and re scheduling my journey...its waste of time...

The same thing is happening with me. I have booked tatkal many times in last 6 months and most number of times i got confirmed ticket. But from past one week thrice or four times i tried for the same . But getting the same error again and again and eventually once it comes back, the ticket status is already in waiting list. Something goofy is happening somewhere. Somewhere railways are involved with brokers it seems. They get all the tickets and we have to pay hefty amount to them to get a single ticket.

Concerned authorities please do something. Facing a lot of problem, I would have to travel in general just because some unscrupulous people are busy in fulfilling their selfish means.

i dont know whether it will make any impact in what ever we say here...is there is some one reading these posts and taking action or not also i dont.
infact even to pick a phone and call and complaint who is the right person also i dont know...

SERIOUSLY FACING THIS PROBLEM, WHENEVER TRY TO BOOK IT SHOWS "THE SITE IS CURRENTLY UNREACHABLE " BUT AFTER 5 MINS IT SHOWS BOOKING OPTION AND END UP WITH REGRET WAITING LIST !!! FROM THE VERY FIRST DAY OF MAY !! KINDLY PLLZ RESOLVE THIS ISSUE ASAP !!

someone needs to do an inquiry into this fleecing by IRCTC.
There is some kind of nexus between agents and irctc staff who handle the site which is open for bookies and in next 10 minutes the site us available.
This happens mainly during the peak season and then everything is back to normal.
Someone needs to involve Newspapers and media also so that they can talk about the issue.
Otherwise the nexus between bookies and irctc staff cannot be broken.

IRCTC.CO.IN The worst site. At sharp 10 o'clock it will be unreachable and will be available once all available tatkal tickets will be finished. Why government is planning for High Speed trains and and promising so many things if these basic ticket booking kind of issues they are unable to handle..

If you could wait for 5mins or so then you will get book now option available... However, you have to book your tickets really very fast as you get few seats available... Hope this helps!!

WHAT IS GOING WITH THE IRCTC WEBSITE CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE THINGS...

Same experience tatkal mafia have now taken over the whole server of IRCTC with or without its consent and the government is not doing its part to prevent this. "This site is currently unreachable. Please try after some time" its also a multicrore scam.

I am also facing the same issue since last week. Today also I tried booking at 10 am one Tatkal ticket for myself in Kaifiyat and it gave the same message :"This site is currently unreachable. Please try after some time", at 10.04 am status appeared that all class tickets went waitlisted. The train has about 259 Sleeper, 32 in 3A, 15 in 2A, which means a total of 306 tickets and all got booked within 4 minutes of openiing of tatkal booking. It surely looks like some thing hanky panky Now with current situation no online user can book tatkal ticket online. It surely looks fishy.

I have been trying to book Tatkal Ticket from past 4-5 days and every time I check for the booking, it says Site is currently unavailable. To my surprise, once all the tickets are exhausted I am completely able to access the site.
In an emergency one has to then go for a flight booking which completely ruins your budget.
Believe it be some sort of hack..,

Is this Complaint forum dead?? No one is there to resolve the issue, nor any IRCTC official has responded. I am facing the same issue from last 2 weeks. even sent a mail to [protected]@irctc.com. Got a reply that their site is working perfectly and I need to clear my cache. tried booking tatkal on the next day with cache cleared but still facing the same issue. where should we complain and who will reslove this. some one should look at this matter promptly and come up with a solution as it hampers the scheduled routine of our work.

I am facing same problem since long days. During tatkal time I have noticed atleast for 15 minutes server is unreachable error used to exist. Indian Railway is now doing heavy monopoly regarding ticket reservation. I hope one day this Indian Railway will be an extinguished company as BSNL.They have the most third class service as well as corruption.
