Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital — Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, its just a money making Hospital

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

One more death case in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Hospital attended by DR VATSAL KOTHARI. One of my frds aunty was suffering from H1N1 n was admitted in Kokilaben. From 1st day she was kept on ventilator for 8 days she was in critical zone then was moved to ICU. And we were informed that she is stable. Every alternatr day they told us she is stable and the next day that she has got some complication. This went in for 16 -17 days Finally family member decideded to shift her as there funds were about to finish. On that morning 19th day (4.30am) ICU 3 doc told them tht aunty condition is very bad itz matter of few hour. Same day 1 pm Dr VASTAL KOTHARI came n his statement was PATIENT IS IMPROVING where as actual condition of patient was not improving. On 20th day again early morning ICU doctor called them n told its multiple orgain failure. Same day 1 pm ICU doctors inform them patients heart has stopped working but we are giving her massage n trying it to pump it up. After 40 min Dr VATSAL KOTHARI came (slowly like he is walking in garden ) n after having a look at patient his statement was PATIENT HEART IS SLOWLY SLOWLY STOPPING. PLZ NOTE 40 MIN BEFORE ASSISTANT DOC ALREADY TOLD THEM PATIENTS HEART HAS STOPPED, t hat means DR VATSAL KOTHARI GAVE US WRONG statement. Around 2 pm patient was declared dead by assistant doctor n not by kothari. It was kothari's responsibliy to talk to family members . He cant be so rude with patient s family. He is not coming free for us, We are paying for his every visit. Il suggest everyone if your going to Kokilaben hospital then STRICTLY REFUSE DR VATSAL KOTHARI TO ATTEND YOUR PATIENT.

This doctor also killed my sister Mrs Kiran Tiwari she was admitted in Kokilaben Hospital on 3 March 2016 as she was 8 month perganent and suffering from jaundince. While admitting in ICU first he told everything is under control after 5 hours first my sister baby died and my sister was recovering as we meet her next day 4 March she was stable and talking to us as he went through major opertaion and cesercain the next day they had given tea idli and soup for eating how u can give a person suffering from jaudince directly to eat she must be kept on liquid diet at least 2 to 3 days . The next day her stomach was swalloen very big due food and they conducted a operation to check what is wrong after once the operation was finished they told everthing is fine not to worry.

After next day of the operation in the operation they said the situation is out of control and pathele is decreasing have come to 3000 means almost dead then also we are trying our best wait for 12 hours put on ventiator after that they declared my sister died on 9 March at 2.10 am. This all happen all by this doctor nigellence and my sister is no more in this world and she was just 28 years age and had a 4 year old son she had left behind and after they had given us a bill of 7 lakhs to take the body after clearing the bill

Similar story with my grand mom. She was put on ventilator immediately and then one complication after the other and finally multiple organ failure, then a heart attack, then revival and finally no hope from the doctors and asked to take the patient back home after putting together a long list of bills.
The treatment was ofcourse by none other than dr Vatsal Kothari
Hello everyone,

I would like to share a real incident with you all to help you and your close ones not to be a victim of such corrupt doctor and hospital.

This is a recent case (Dec 2016). One of my aunt was admitted in Kokilaben hospital located at Lokandwala, Mumbai. She was under Dr. Vatsal Kothari. Her health was not good but not that bad too. She had lungs problem at the time of admission and she was made to do all sorts of testing, some testing even 2-3 times. Most o[censored]s do not have much knowledge about medicine and we do what the doctors says. After few days of admission, my aunt was shifted to ICU. She was admitted for 15 days but there was no improvement in her health. In fact her health was deteriorating.

We still had trust on the doctor, his staff and hospital but when they said there are no chances of her survival and she can survive maximum for 2 days, we were shocked. We requested them to discharge her so that we can take second opinion from some other doctor and hospital. We informed the hospital staff that we want discharge next morning. We already took an appointment of another doctor at Lilavati hospital. But Dr. Kothari and his staff was not ready to discharge my aunt. We were ready to clear all the bills as for us my aunt's life was more important than anything else.

From 9.30 am till 6 pm we were requesting them to give discharge but they were just making excuses. The hospital staff even fought with us. Finally she got discharged after fighting for hours and when we said we will file a complaint at the hospital feedback counter and police. They made a bill of more than 5 lakhs that my aunt's family had to pay to Kokilaben hospital for ill treatment and deterioration of her health.

Fortunately at Lilavati hospital she was treated well and now my aunt is fit and fine. She was under Dr. Prahlad Prabhudesai at Lilavati. Thanks to Dr. Prabhudesai.

We consider our doctors like God and have lot of trust and faith in them. But it is very sad to see some doctors like Dr. Vatsal Kothari and his staff at Kokilaben hospital who had made this loyal profession a business.
I think there is a bias or misunderstanding in these cases as by far dr vatsal kothari and his team have been fantastic and have saved my fathers life .I am a doctor a surgeon myself and my father was admitted to Ambani hospital under dr vatsal kothari for acute lung injury due to boop his clinical acumen and diagnosis and treatment protocols are tooo good along with a fantastic team with dr Rai dr Shweta dr mahesh menon dr Gadre saved my father I will forever be indebted to him and his team
as most of the time very sick or complicated cases reach the icu and patients who are already very bad health wise are then dealt with by icu doctors. Please remember it is more difficult to save such patients than a regular patient I think dr vatsal kothari being an icu expert is facing the brunt of such issues and complications.Being a doctor I have seen a lot of icu s but this team is a real Life Saving team kudos to Dr Vatsal Kothari for being so good at his work and so ethical that he flawlessly saves lives

Surprisingly all Mumbai patients have negative feedback for Dr. Vatsal Kothari and Delhi patient are giving satisfactory treatment. Whom to trust the patients who are based from the hospital area or who come from out of Mumbai or Delhi? Can we trust Delhi reviews?
Agree very much Dr. Vatsal Kothari is a “Dalal” for Kokilaben hospital who try and push patients in ICU for extorting money from patients, he inspire of being head of ICU department does not have a cabin of his own so as he can hide from patients relatives as and when required, hardly communicate and explain actual patient condition. Try and lead you to address patient’s other health issues which can be addressed later or avoided. Complete no no for Dr. Vatsal Kothari. He will robe you completely and would not give discharge to the patient easily and would not care for patient health to increase his bill.
