Kotak Mahindra Bank — Did not fulfill the promise and also no one is responding on that

When i got credit card from this bank then they promised me two movie voucher after spending some money on credit card within some time frame. I did same but till now i didn't get any voucher from their side. Regarding this so many times i called customer care and also wrote to so many persons to that bank but no one took ant step to resolve my issue. It became more than 8 months but no action i am seeing from their side. Now they have stopped replying my mails also.

This bank is a big cheater and fraud, they use to promise a lot but never fulfill any one from those.

Such a worst bank, i am suffering a lot due to all its non sense stuffs.

Below is the mail content also so that you can understand how much i suffered with this cheater bank:

Hi all,

This mail i am writing after having lot of troubles with kotak bank.

This mail got delayed because i was out of town for some days otherwise i would have written this to you some 2-3 weeks back.

I have three accounts in different different banks but first time i have faced all these issues here and now this is too much.

I have a salary account in kotak for which below are the details:

I am trying to transfer my salary account to some other bank due to all the non sense of kotak bank.

Below are the problems which i face and i want answers from you people that why i faced all these non sense and what was my mistake in all those bull stuff?

1) once my salary account got opened in kotak, i got a call from kotak for credit card and i applied for that. During the call that lady who called me, she mentioned lot of benefits and facilities of the credit card but same i didn't get.

2) worst part is that i got credit limit in the credit card as 15000rs which is almost my 10 days salary. (Generally i use my credit card for big amount, 30k+) after getting that card i called kotak customer care then they told that "you are eligible for that card only that is why you got that and whatever benefits i asked which was mentioned to me in previous call before applying the card, she told that all those facilities are not available to that card". After that i requested her to increase my credit limit then she told that that is not possible before six month, then i asked her to close my card then she told that use it for some time and we will process your request and we will try to increase your limit and at any time if you require to use more than 15k using this credit card then you call me and instantly without any approval we will increase your limit by 5k, means then limit will be increased to 20k. Also she mentioned one offer that if you will spend some amount (1000 i remember) before some day (31 aug i remember) then we will give you two movie voucher of bookmyshow.

(Interesting thing is, one of my colleague who has exact same salary as mine he got better card than me whose credit limit is 50k+ and also with lots of benefit, i don't know how was that possible that i was not eligible for that card but he was. And for information, i have better account balance record and credit card use history than him, earlier we had credit card from same bank which has given more credit limit to me than him because of my banking history and credit card use history)

3) in between all these i came to know that without my application and knowledge my email address got change to some wrong email address. This i came to know after getting a message on my registered mobile number from kotak. For this issue i called bank so many times and each time they were asking me to come to bank with your identity details and an application then only we will change your email. I was not able to go to bank as i was always busy with the works and here my point was you guys changed my email id to wrong email without any application and without visiting any of your branch then why this time i need to visit your branch. For this time i struggled a lot and called customer cares so many times and each time they were telling some different different stories and each time they were telling that i have registered your complain and whenever i asked for complain id, they used to tell we will message that to your registered mobile but i never got any message. But somehow this issue got resolved after communicating with syed and ranjitha. But really this was a horrible experience.

4) as they mentioned about the offer for credit card, i did the same, i spent more than 2k on that card before said date and i was waiting for the coupon. After long time when it was too late i called the customer care about that (It was after my email got changed to wrong but before it got corrected) then they mentioned that it was already sent to my email address then i mentioned that can you check if there is any complain is there regarding wrong email for this account then she told yes it is there then i asked then why did you send this to wrong email, then she registered a complain and told that we will look into this and will let you know. I didn't get this complain id also. Again after long time when i didn't get any response from them, i called them, meanwhile my email id got corrected, in this call what she mentioned that "we have sent that coupon to your email as well as your registered mobile number and since your email id was wrong and you didn't get that in email you got that in your mobile message so use that" and surprisingly i had not get any such message and i told the same to her but she was not agree and she told we can't send that again.

5) after all these i was fed up with this and i decided to close that credit card and then in the same previous call i asked her to close my credit card. She took my request. After some time i got a call from them again regarding verification and then she asked why are you closing this then first i asked can you check if that movie voucher which they committed with me as offer was sent to my registered mobile no.? Then she checked and told that no it was sent only to your email id then i asked her about email address then she mentioned which was wrong. I double confirmed with her if they sent that to my mobile or not but she told no we have not sent this to your mobile. After this i narrated all those non sense story to her then she apologies for that and told that "please don't close this card and if you will not close this then we will send you those movie vouchers again and will also increase your credit limit". I was surprised after hearing this from her, how can she tell like that, was she doing any favor for me by sending those vouchers. Whatever they mentioned as the offer according to that i spent money then only you were offering me that voucher, i was not begging for those vouchers, that was my right to get those as i had spent money for that. After all these i asked her i don't need any voucher you please close this card then she closed that.

6) i went to kotak branch in btm 2nd stage (I think earlier it was ing vysya) to submit some draft there. There i asked about demat account then there one lady took my details and told that concern person will get back to you and after that i waited for long time but no one contacted me after that i went to some other bank and opened demat account there and have started trading also but still i didn't get a single call from kotak. See how irresponsible kotak is. But any way it doesn't bother me because i am happy that i didn't open demat in your bank.


Now can you people please answer me about all the above issue that why i suffered through all these and in all above points where was my mistake?

Seriously it was kind of mental harassment from kotak people. I will never suggest anyone to open any account in kotak. You people don't think that you are giving 6% interest so people will come running to you. Now a days people need mental peace and good service rather than more interest rate.

I wanted to write this to consumer forum but later i thought why to waste my time to correct you people, better to change the bank and live happily.

But i am expecting at least answer to my question.
