My son was harassed and have been given runaround for 2 weeks to open a NRE account. Whenever we tried to call them or approach them, they either hung up phone or said it will be done in two days. It went on everyday for 2 weeks. Only when we wrote to nodal officer they forwarded our application after two weeks, but non functional. Account is still in debit freeze mode, due to their pathetic system issues and goo[censored]p done at branch level.

When we raised question about their un-professionalism in handling the bank opening account process BM of Sahakarnagar Bangalore-[removed] refused to answer and said she will not handle the account opening, Same thing [removed] added to injury. They are least worried about customer and referring to some issues and errors, specially when we got complete written statement from [removed]- asst manager, that all documents are intact and account will be opened in 8 days or before.

Two people [removed] and other guy who came to our temporary residence in India who tried to sell the banking services and promised that they will give good service and account which will be active in 8 days. I was really shocked and amazed to see that in India it takes more than 2-4 weeks to open an account and that too it will be non-functional, till the time we spend hours and hours chasing them. Second round of issues will start with debit cards, net banking. Nothing seems to be coordinated in this bank. Well [removed] is no mood to answer, twitted and wrote to him several times.

Mr. [removed] must shut down this lousy, substandard bank street banking. He has to understand how scary this bank could be when customer has to haggle even before opening account, how worse it can be post opening and services later on. To get a standard reply it can take 7 days... I had most horrible experience with this bank, When world is giving best of services and comfort banking, but in India still banks like kotak and icici believes in harassing customers. Kotak bank has very very low quality banking services and substandard customer service as worse as ICICI, Everytime we get a automated message or templated message that team will contact you.

It is big disaster, Hope [removed] is able to revamp their corrupt and useless workforce - managers . A manager in Kotak doesn't even know how to spell or write a word " account " properly, what kind of services we can expect from these people bunch of jokers employed by [removed].

Besides [removed] and [removed] are such unprofessional and low level, attitude filled people, they could have fixed the situation, but they spoiled the whole process due to their vague and arrogant behaviour towards customer, they have no courtesy or respect for customers, as if being a manager they are god fathers or mothers.

BEWARE OF [removed] AND [removed], ALONG WITH [removed] who will ruin your holidays, if you are here for opening NRI account in India. Avoid them by all means. They are nothing more than scammers, they just want to get customers but do not know meaning of customer service or relationship ...

Total waste bank, it is another [censored] hole in India like ICICI BANK.

Two jokers who spoiled our holidays and bank account, gave us hard time and wrong impression of India.

Even I had similar experience, These type of Banks have very poor coordination, bad reputation and low class service.
It is not a safe bet to deal with private banks in India where scams and cheating for getting business is institutionalized. Sales pressure on marketing team is tremendous, Before opening account they will promise you earth and moon, but when it comes to service and ethics these people falls in the last row. Lastly when you are struck with issues their senior manager will hide in rest-rooms. In India one can loose money, or their money can disappear mysteriously.
WORST BANK, NRIs beware, do not even open account with them, unless you want to run after them or get your money locked.
