Lava Mobiles — Refund against Replacement

Original bill value Rs. 14000 Replacement done worth only Rs. 9700 (Rs 8800 New handset + Rs. 900 cash) Balance Rs 4300 still pending and the company says that is the retailers margin we can't refund. But why should a customer pay for this when the device has not served its waranty.
